It seems to vary and isn't linear.

I get mine calibrated for 100 Kph/60 mph but usually have the GPS in the car so drive off that. (at the moment it's 10 Kph out all over after the change to 3.5:1 diff gears)
damn. my setup is pretty funky (W58, 3.91 LSD with 275/35-18 all around), it was already off ~5mph to begin with, now after new wheels and different diff, it's between 7-10mph off, maybe even more :3d_frown:. I hate to see how it REALLY is over 100.

100 Mph "should" be 4150 rpm with your specs.

I say "should" as the Tachs aren't exactly accurate either ;)
(it'll be +- 30 rpm)

how about mine IJ
86.5 n.a, 4.30, 245/45/17

So your 200 crank hp 3500+lb car will pull almost 7000 rpm in 5th gear..... yeah ok sure it did! :nono:

Car and Driver could only get their test car to 131mph so maybe yours was magic...... (thanks Nick)

He is probably just going off his speedo and its not gps confirmed. Could've change the rims and tires too. It probably was 131 or less but just showed 140 on the speedo.

1990 auto 7M-GTE with full turbo-back exhaust and intake 150mph. The road wasn't perfectly straight and the suspension felt a little soggy in the bushings so I back off pretty quick. It didn't have much trouble getting there and seemed like it would keep going.

My 88 N/A 5spd beat my buddy's 03 Civic Si to 130mph, but I didn't feel comfortable taking it past that because of the RPM required. I was very impressed at how quickly it got there.

1991 auto 7M-GTE, BONE STOCK, 125mph with the top off before it got really noisy and didn't want to pull much more.

Same 1991 now a 12 second beast with a 2JZ-GTE, R154, a modded twins setup and minor suspension mods, I've only had it to 120 3 or 4 times.

The only numbers I can give you are that the 2JZ does 120 at ~6K in 4th gear. All runs were on stock wheel/tire size.

I had my speedometer up to 140 when I first bought it so this is probably correct. Speedometer is off by some. I've had 4 guys w/golf clubs going uphill (just a little late for the tee time) at 120mph going by the speedo. The lady in the proshop asked if we where the guys who flew by her while she was doing 90.:evil2:

Nick S 150 and hitting a bump. would of loved to see look on your face.

Sorry wasn't ignoring you was just laughing too hard at Shenron's 160 mph NA ;)

Your car will be doing 4550 @ 100 Mph and 6000 @ 132.

come on if your gonna make fun at least have the info correct i said 140 not 160 and i can see the speedo being a little of at that speed, from age or ware and tare. so yeah possibly i was doing 130 when my speedo said 140.

I95 in Florida is straight as an arrow and flat as a board.... If there is anywhere in the states that you can hit those speeds it would be there...

Poo: Unless he was drafting something fast I can't believe it sorry.
(we have long straight flat roads here as well)
