Oops... you're right I was looking at the chart table wrong.

that makes me feel better.

550 are good for ~500hp @ 80% duty.
I'll dyno soon so let's see. what happens. Either way I am happy cuz the gt4082 I got from csnow spools much quicker then my lag monster, adding fun factor back to the equation. So even if I make 450hp it still would be nice.

So whats the deal with these 550 injectors? Is it hit or miss to actually hit 550cc?

Is it safe to have injectors spitting out different cc amounts? I know they were close to each other but we got some hitting 494 others hitting 525 cc.

What hp are we saying these would be safe until?

I am trying to have my ducks in a row as I start breaking stuff. LOl

Honestly.... I have a theroy with zero proof.

The 1993 MKIV 2JZGTE is different from the 1994+. That is 100% true for JDM cars, and probably is true for USDM also. 1993 is the "slow" year, and some changes were made in 1994+ to raise the HP. Again, zero proof for USA cars, but that is 100% true for JDM cars due to the fact the 1JZGTE Chaser ran circles around the flagship Supra in 1993 and that had to be fixed.

My theroy is, the USDM MKIV uses the same 440 injectors as the JDM car, and in 1994+, they were bumped to 550s because of the competition between other cars and the need for more HP.

I have USA MKIV 550's, and they are 550s. IDK what you guys got. My injectors dyno'd 510whp in the 2JZGTE it came out of.

I would not be too sure.
Although the specs suggest less, I had to drop my correction after installing them to 30%, so this is correct. I know I am rich but I dont' wanna mess around until I tune.
My 550 came from a 98 MKiv, so If anything they are of the latest revision that was available in USDM trim.
That is not the first 550's I install and they usually dyno ~530-~540 max.
To be safe 80% duty cycle and you'll be in the 480-500 range.

So don't give up hope, they work and they are 550's.

True, but that would mean I would have to lose my beautiful driftmotion 1jz AFPR feed kit, additional costs of the feed rail & supporting mods & added time too. No other options?

Time to get some VENOM 550's. ;)

That really does make me upset how Jay got some Sards, and they come back way too rich, and him going through all the hassles with them. There aren't a lot of options.

I'm with csnow, sell your fuel setup, and go top feed or let us know where you bought some side feed 550's :)

That's great, but mine were removed from a USDM 2JZ & they only flowed 440cc's, hense the reason for the thread....

well i made 523 on my 550's started going real lean though 12.8 on that run.

BTW, I don't believe the emanage injector adjustment when I had rx550's had to set to 440 to idle properly I think the emanage over compensates.

BTW, at that power, when i UPed the pressure on the walbro i went leaner... I guess the walbro couldn't flow enough at that pressure... .And the injector couldn't sustain the flow with the pressure lower... Soooo...

I never did flow test them though, I just dropped all 6 in to a bucket of injector cleaner and made sure the pick up screens where clear.
