Wayne: Going to use the steering angle sensor?
(If so can you figure out a calibration please?)

still trying to decipher what it does.

Specifically, (I have not tested it yet) but not sure if it is a digital or analog. If it is digital, how to get a zero out when driving straight. Also how to det if the steering is being turned clockwise or counter clockwise. That is going to be a challenge as it just looks like a simple optical based digital signal. Analog would be cake.

Once I get something, I'll send something over :D

Soon?

lol, This project is my after work project. I do a bit at a time if I can and if I am not dead tired from work. :)

well the dash out is like any other car out there. Nothing special really. Just without the harness it is ALOT cleaner.

The wiring is not a pain per say, it is more time consuming and takes ALOT of planning (ie working on wiring diagrams, conceptual architechture, and future foresight). In this case, I do how I work in my job,

Visio diagraming, AutoDesk inventor wiring and harness design and excel spread sheets for PIN assignments. The excel spreadsheet is probably the biggest thing that I would suggest to ANYONE undertaking a project of this magnitude to do. It makes the bridging conceptual to physical easier (not a breeze by any stretch of the imagination though!).

All this MoTeC stuff (alot more that I have note posted) is quite pricey! Probably the cost of the car 4 times over (and I paid $8000 for the Supra back in 1994). Just ask IJ. UpgradedSupra (Duane) or even JT2MA71 (Ron) what their systems cost them. Not cheap but modularity. I like. I buy what I need when I need and install it ANYWHERE in the car. Especially if it is CANBus driven (All MoTeC gear chit chats CANBus as does most OEM stuff in the newer cars :D ).

As for Car PC. Nope, not really needed :) I am one as when the tune is set. You won't find the AEM tommy toggle syndrome here! Set and forget!

just a minor update (more like a headache).

my computer crashed (power supply), and with it I lost all my wiring diagrams, my harness but the most important and critical document, my pin assignment.

So hopefully I will be up this week (I hope I can). :)

my dad bought that same crimper for me to do my wiring stuff!
and i love it! takes all of the work out of crimping everything.

nice build, a little on the crazy/insane side... but its a supra, you have to be crazy to own one!

nah it is not insane.

let see

18 feet of supra vs 140+ feet or B-1b bomber.......

18ft v 140ft.

Yeah the supra is leaps and bounds easier in wiring ;)

btw which crimper are you refering to?

The DMC M860 for mil-spec or the Tyco Pro-Crimper II? :)
