I envy you.

Yes, you heard that right. I would LOVE to do something like this.

Sounds like an extremely fun project you're undertaking.

(take lots of pictures so I can live vicariously through you ;))

I will try. There is nothing more on the uninstall side to take pictures of :) The next part is building FOUR harness for the PDM. This uses the steps and tools that in my wire thread so won't do that part.

Whats this car being designed for? street? track? both? kickass build either way, love your upgraded ct26..:biglaugh:

all and everything.

As I always noted, I will be producing power but at the same time, be comfortable with the A/C kicking out nice cool, dehumidified air ;)

The rats nest in post #38 labled AC-system.jpg is the AC circuit after being isolated from the main electrical harness. It looks bad but it really is not bad at all.

TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS!!!

You either have the right tools to do the job properly the FIRST time or you don't. People hate crimping. I myself love it ESPECIALLY when the tools are available to do it correctly.

So I introduce you a pricey crimper but the ONLY way to crimp plastic based .

A tyco electrnics pro-crimper III tool

[picture PIDG-Crimper]

purchased from Tyco themselves. Another tool that we used in the Air Force for mil-spec wiring.

The crimps that this produces, I will break the wire before the crimp gives ;)

sorry for the quality :)

Nice Fig! So, your car done yet?! :sarcasm:

HA

HAHAHAH

HAHAH.. No that is not a laughter of joy. That is a laughter of pain!

I am not even close. Further along than before but still not close ;)

Wiring the way I wire is time consuming. And then comes the making it pretty part (DR25, tyco electronics heat shrink splits, 90 degree boots etc.).

This will be a work of art (the harness, the car, well for another time after it is running ;) ). :D

When is the estimate time frame on it being done?

minor update

here is the AC system circuit and front windshield wiper&washer circuit isolated from the harness.

This is not it's final form but the tie wraps are used to give me an idea of where to split the harness.

On the AC-Circiuit side. you will see lots of pins. Those are pulled from the junction blocks that Toyota used. Not to hard to isolate just time consuming but hey, at least it was not Heat shrinked harness. ;)

also as you see the wiper circuit is using the stock wiper turn on circuit on the steering column. Along with that is the turn, and headlights that is on the car already.
