i got my motor out the car and cant decide what i wanna do and i have 3000 dollars to spend on it
what does it take to get 500hp out of a 7mgte

But I know me and a friend plan on building up my bottom end first. While allowing me to still rebuild the head.
But then you have to think about the details.
Like will the clutch/flywheel/pressure plate hold up.
Drive shaft being 18+years old

From bone stock?
Do a MHG, get some new 550cc injectors, a MAFT-Pro, a Wideband O2, new fuel pump, replacing anything rubber in the engine bay, and a CT26.
That'll run you close to $3000, and you should be able to get 350-400rwhp, reliably.

Bingo. The past year I've been coming home and losing 80% of every paycheck on my way through the garage into my house. I'm planning on 500hp on a budget build and I'm already past 5k at least, I still have at least another 1,500-2k to spend.
I did not put this young man up to this IJ, I swear..........and for the record, he can't do the 1jz swap for $3000.00 either. He'd be better off building his 7m with some really good internals and replacing the stock oil pump with whatever it is you guys replace the stock oilpumps with............and then do lots and lots of praying and maybe sacrifice a virgin or two............:biglaugh:namkiii said:

so yea i found a motor 5 speed transmission wire harness ecu and motor mounts for a 1jz for 2000 what else do i need to complete the swap then
