and if my MK3 breaks or something I got an expensive tow bill to get it home.

I feel you on that. My dragstrip is easily an hour away from me. If I break, and I'm sure someday it will, I'll have an expensive tow as well.
Just take it out there and baby it off the line. That's were most of your breakdowns occur.

That is what I did the last time I went with my stock clutch but on the way home it was slipping badly lol I am sure the Spec Stage 2+ clutch I have now will hold up fine.

What hp are you running? I have the spec 2+ clutch and stock clutch disc (swapped out their 6puck) I'm thinking my car may reach over 500 lbs of torque on tune next week and pretty sure the spec 2+ isn't going to hold.

Looking for options other than a twin disc.

Last dyno was 272hp with a slipping clutch, boost leak, and basically open downpipe. I am sure it's putting down at least 280hp now since I only have a warped exhaust manifold that is causing a leak.

Well the guy who bought my car just got it dynoed at the PacNW supra nationals and it made 410hp and 390 torque. Not bad for a car I built and tuned myself on a budget.

Can't see a spec 2+ clutch slipping at that power range Doat. Mine holds well at 400+ rwhp currently. Of course I hated the chatter of the 6puck which is why I went with the stock clutch.

Yea I am not worried about the clutch slipping I only had that problem with the stock clutch which sucked because before that night at the track I replaced it within a year and already needed to upgrade lol. I got new motor mounts from DM the stock mounts but apparently they are stiffer and I got a new trans mount, steel clutch line, and some other stuff I really like it but I can feel vibrations in the shifter I assume that is from the stiffer motor mounts.

speaking about 6 puck clutches i have one on my supra (first time using one)and so far I’ve only put 500miles on it and it chatters quit a bit so i was wondering if these 6 puck clutches begin to smoothen out after a while. This is my first experience with a 6 puck clutch and i don’t really like the high revving engagement

Most people say to rev em a bit higher when slipping. I rode in one car with a 6 puck and pretty much crossed that off the list of things I want in my car haha

i got my new turbo on today. i also threw on my urethane trans mount. i have solid motor mounts and a 1pc driveshaft as well.......... there's harshness and vibration, but that's to be expected.
as far as my turbo goes.............. i'm running 12-13psi for now until i install the aem ems, afpr, wally 255, and have it tuned. it feels awesome. it might even spool faster than my beat up stock ct26.
i can't thank albert enough. i highly recommend going to him for a turbo.
