Lol, thanks. I try to be of help :) If the key needs replaced, it's simple, just stick another one in. If it's not, then the crankshaft needs some machine work on the grooves that hold the key. I'll take pics of my hogged out crank tonight after work.

If the crankshaft pulley was wobbling around wouldn't I be able to see that when I use the timing light? The UV mark doesn't wobble around or anything.

Where do you guys get your 1jz motors from?

Keep in mind that the motion and momentum is turning one way, so when the crank is turning you probably won't notice it with the naked eye.

ah, I hope the crankshaft pulley is fine or something because if I have to machine the crankshaft then I will just save up for a 1jz.

The machine work isn't that bad, it's just time consuming getting the crankshaft out to have it done...

At this point I just want to get the 7M running well, so I can work on getting a 1jz, replace all of the seals and gaskets then drop it in and sell the 7M.

Wiring clean up. I just need headlights and signals. The fuse box will be relocated inside the car. The battery will be relocated to the rear.

It looks like I won't need any of the passenger side wires after this! (doing a 2JZGTE swap soon)

Found a "Vacuum leak" in the cooling system. It has driven me nuts for a month. After a long drive then parking the car and letting it cool down I would get air pockets in the heater core. I pressure checked at 20psi and combustion leak checked. Nada. What was happening was the upper heater core hose would suck in air at the firewall into the heater core when cooling down but not leak under pressure! Replaced hose and used a wide clamp and its all good.

I got my new fan belts in the mail today. I ordered them Monday night from Rockauto, and got all three Gatorbacks for $21 shipped. They have great prices and very fast shipping. Hopefully I can install them this weekend.

Started to take off the alternator/belt to change the water pump because the new 88 is overheating, but it got too dark out... I'll finish her up tomorrow and post pics.

damn ^ that brings back bad memories.... you prolly don't even wanna know.... but personally... I neglected my supra today :D I'm waiting to hear back about a gauge cluster. I'm trying to piece together another one, since the one in my car looks like turd. (think crinkled stick-on white faces, AND pretty much all of my gauges are off one way or another) So I'm just waiting to tear the dash apart and spruce it up. Sadly, I actually need to replace the dash as it has a huge crack in it. :(

good news is the car is in great overall shape, especially being from the north :icon_surp although it does seem a bit neglected, I think it's gonna turn out great.

I'll post pics before and after once I get at it.
