not sure if it's the same size. i was missing a few gaskets during my rebuild. i bought a roll of "gasket material" and made my own.

Found my spark issue:

CPS Connector. Replaced with a new connector and fired right up.

Also, test fitted some wheels. No, these wheels are not going on my car, just test fitting to figure out what size I can run. I'll post pics when I do pick up the wheels I'm looking at. Here are some pictures of the test fit:

Nothing today. But it did start making a ticking sound around 2k-2.5k rpms. Basically at cruising speed around 55-60. Any ideas onnwhy its doing it?

it definitely needs bigger rear tires. with a roll and pull you should be able to get 275-35's on there. the front wheels are too wide for my taste. i'd probably do 18x8.5 +25. that way you can fit a 235-40 under there.

I took my Supra to work for the first time since i've owned it for over a year.
she made it with only minor issues, front right corner under tray decided to blow out from under the car at 80mph. I have it duct taped into place now. also code 52 reared it's ugly head but i found a spare knock sensor i'm going to use before i re-wire it. first gear feels like a joke with stock head, ct26, and 8.9:1 compression. I had boost coming on before 2500 rpm and found myself shifting out of gear by 3.
It does look like i'll need a rebuild on the turbo soon. i didn't smoke until i got off the high way and puffed a little smoke in 2 higher second gear pulls but was not consistently smoking.

needless to say I'm super excited and should be putting together my build thread with my archive of photos

I'll be getting wider tires once I get my wheels. 8.5 is too narrow for my taste. I've ran 9.5's all around the past few Supra's I've owned with 275/35 all around. Definitely like a square setup much better than a staggered setup. That wheel was off a friend's Z, I just test fitted to see what I can run on the Supra.

When I see those FRS/BRZs I just want to smoke the crap out of them lol.

Definitely feel the same. But will never to be able to in my daily. But now the Supra is running again...that's a different story :)

Doat, they are a quality piece. It offers you all the adjustment you could possibly need. If you opt for the hem joints you have less play in the suspension. These can handle a lot more power than stock as well. Plus they look "pretty" :D

what did that set you back?

I had these made with poly bushings instead of hem joints. I also had them coated red when Wes was only offering Blue. I believe that now he offers both poly and hem joints as well as a wide range of colors.

If you're interested, talk to him and give him your specs and he'll give you a quote no problem. Wes is a great guy!
