It's not too bad if you go at it at the right angle.. get a long extension and a socket that fits the clamp.. turn the clamp so it's facing the intake, farthest from the valve cover.. attack from behind. Done in seconds. 7m4evr would have been done in seconds too, when he blew that hose on the side of the road, but he didn't have a long enough extension.

The front bumper was heat warped looks like a wave. The hood has bubbles throughout the paint all across the top The wiring harness was melted in spots from the heat. The engine was open and was flooded with water and glass from the lights above dropping on it. The interior smells like someone smoked 12 packs a day for a year with the windows down haha umm seals will need replaced as it leaks now idk some other things as well but the adjuster said it was at least 5000 dollars in body damage alone. Oh yeah and all the engine parts were in the front of the garage that caught on fire. And that's all I have to say about that. haha

Haha she really didn't mean too at all though. I just picked up a cheap 88 shell for 500 bucks with a lot of the stuff I'd need I just don't know. If I did keep it I'd probably use all the money on performance parts haha. I already made a list I'd do if I did it that way but then I saw a supra on here for sale I was really thinking about just need to scrounge up about another grand via borrowing or something if i went that way

yeah I know I just feel bad for not doing it myself for the most part to be honest. At the same time I want to start without having to do a ton of bodywork/paint later on haha

Personally, that shell is as good as scrap to me. The same thing that makes steel hard, makes it soft.. get into a wreck with that shell after repairing it and all your crumple zones are a foot longer

Also. Doat, I've never replaced that.. but the only thing I can think of is remove the transmission bracket, and you may be able to jack up the back of the tranny, get a little more space between the back of the head and the firewall...

OR go at it from the side of the engine? Hmmmm... It'd be pretty easy to get to with the manifolds removed, idk if you wanna go that far.

Or cut a hole in the firewall ;)
