It's alright, its not like I needed a nice brake kit for a daily driver. It would have been nice to have but the new pads and rotors will be good enough. I'm still getting those nice bilstein shocks. I can't wait till my sports car rides like a sports car and not like a boat.

Thank you :) A friend of mine did the brakes on a mercury sable I used to have. I watched and he explained how to do everything. That was almost over a year ago though. I don't remember a lot from what he did. This is the first time I've ever done them myself. Now that I understand it I'm ready to tear into the other 3 corners but its dark out and working with nothing but a flashlight sucks ass

It gets better, once you learn more. .. is still a pain in the arse when you wanna drive but it needs work. I'm still trying to find time to fix my hg

I can only really drive mine at night or on real cool days. If its hot out and the sun is beating down she overheats. Luckily though I work 3rd shift. I need another car so I can start rebuilding, or learning to rebuild this engine

My brake pedal feels so much firmer even though I only did the front passenger side

The brake rotors and wheels where the very first thing I ever pulled apart on my car, since then I have touched probably every external part of my car and swapped to a 1jz. The brakes is how they get you started ;)

It starts with something simple, I didn't even know the basics of engine mechanics when I started (truth be told, I just disliked how complicated the 7MGE looked) now I'm still learning but have the basics, but I know what I want and what the right way to do things.

I've been trying to take her easy especially since I put so many miles on her. The other day I raced an eclipse off a red light. I wasnt pushing her too hard cause but then my damn hand slipped and I missed third gear and since I wasnt pushing her, I lost. But its whatever. He had his shit floored and I was barely at 3/4 throttle and I was ahead till I missed a gear

I studied high performance for 4 years in college and this forum has still taught me a lot, mainly supra specific stuff but still an incredible community

Exactly, it's true what they say
"MKIII Supra, making mechanics out of men since '86.5"

THM is taking too long to give me a invoice, in the last week i've been given a a quote for pistons without rings but have yet to get any invoice or an answer on if they can order rings with them.

I went for a bit of a boot down the highway.

I'd LOVE to say that that maximum speed was actually done in the Supra, but it was an aberration of the GPS while it had poor signal strength, and it decided that I must have done the 278km/h to get from where it thought that I was to where I actually was, so it's a figment of the GPS' imagination. I still thought that it was an interesting picture. :p
