Well, for starters, you have to purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

I have the lovely duty of adjusting my valves. Is it true that I can use shims from a Yamaha or Honda? I had heard a rumor, but I can't find an exact answer. I'm on kind of a tight budget, and dealer prices are a bit steep. Also, since I have this all opened up I assume that I should check my Head Studs? If they're aftermarket (ARP I believe), is there a different Torque specification? Also, are the injectors on a N/A 7M supposed to be 550?

Thank you,

Greg

NA injectors are normally 330's.

yes -- old Honda 750 IIRC from the early 80s....I found it in a thread on here somewhere when searching for it.

Thanks! I sat for a good hour and found the valve adjustment page. I think that I'm going to hit some junk yards here and pull shims from some cars... Camry(86-91), Celica(83-93), Cressida(88-93), Corolla(83-99), MR2(84-91) or Tercel (94-99)... I'm pretty sure that I have one of two 7m's in my city. Both are inside 4Runners! SoDak isn't a Toyota friendly place...

build thread to come soon.... once the chassis is done being prep'd... I didn't want a 100+page thread of "this is the 6 hours of this week...."

otherwise; more seam sealing today; and test fitting/drilling body holes for 89+ spoiler/trim...

speedometers are only for those that obey the speed limit............lol

LMAO...when I completed my GTE/154 swap my speedometer AND tach weren't working. Figured out why the tach wasn't working and I figure as long as I can see redline now, I'm good. Still haven't fixed the speedometer. LOL!

I replaced my driver side door hinges and door today, the hinges were shot to hell, had to lift up the door to close it.

Door closes like a dream with one finger now! Took me about half an hour to get the alignment just right though lol

DISCLAIMER: That is not me in the picture, that's my slightly retarded, 300ZX owning (and loving) friend lol
