Took these off:

Ground them down with a wire wheel, then sanded them, and sent them off the be painted again. When they came back, I decided to put on some more of the parts that have warmed up on the bits bin shelf for long enough.

Throttle cable bracket and wind shield wiper arms:

Even picked up new from the dealer (thanks Mark!) nuts for the wiper arms:

And new blades, too, of course.

Yesterday: Got alternator installed and put alternator and A/C belts on (belt p/n for the older sethron drop-down setup is a 5K486 belt in case anybody's wondering), installed e-fan controller, installed cold-side IC pipes, installed most of turbo inlet pipe/AFM/Filter assy (waiting on one clamp), reinstalled shifter console.....getting closer!

All I have left to do IIRC is to do my vacuum lines, cinch down a fuel union under the car, and wire up the wideband, along with fixing a wire from my SAFC in the harness...plug in the ECU, and I should be in business. Giggity-giggity!

Grim, were you able to get new wiper blades from the dealer? I've always heard that the OEM ones were the best...

You've inspired me to clean up and paint a few things on mine once we start tearing into the shell. :)

I've been running Silblades on my truck since 2003 -- first pair I had replaced under warranty due to the carbon fiber screening on the frames sun-fading...but the blades are still functional. I swapped 'em out in '06 and have been running the replacement pair ever since. Best blade on the market IMO, and even though they're pricey, WELL worth the money. I plan on getting some for the Supra eventually. Oh, and they have a 5yr warranty. :bigthumb:

Yes, still available brand new from the dealer. Not even very expensive. :)

Good to know guys, thanks for the info. I have a set of Trico's sitting in the garage, they seem nice. The Bosch ones I put on a couple years ago are still in good shape though. Funny what spending a year in a garage does to the life expectancy of rubber parts... not out in high altitude sun and cold...

I... washed... my... car...

For those of you who don't know me, this does NOT happen often, considering the road conditions around here, and climate. If I wanted to drive a clean car daily, I'd have to wash the damned thing every time I got home. :p
