Gave mine a well needed bath, the first since the accident, have all the trim off to clean it up.
Other than that, still doing the body work. Then just prepping for the respray.

Went to a scrap yard and found one supra. 86.5 targa. It was pretty much gutted but I got a few bits off of it.

well, the trade didn't happen yet so i installed my lex-550 combo. holy shit, what a difference that makes. i was hitting fuel cut at 10 psi before and i've done 16 after the install. before the flaming starts, i have an innovate wideband in there to log my afr's. i'm at about 11.5 at wot @ 15psi.
now the dumb question........ what kind of numbers do you guys think it's putting down? i have lex-550's, bic ddp, full 3" exhaust with no cat, hard i'c pipes, and a cone filter. all i can say is it pulls a hell of a lot harder than before the upgrade. :)

I was at 300 rwhp/387 torque with a 57 trim and no tune. Two things help me back... AFR went below 10:1 at 3500 rpm and stock intercooler. Was a wicked pull though. That was at 14 psi

Is everything else stock? I thought you need 550cc injectors to run the lex afm

very nice.
doat, i have fic 550's. they actually all flowed between 619 and 648. i didn't install my walbro 255 yet, but my afr's look real good as is.
the last time at the track the car went 14.1 @ 99. that was with the car spinning all through first and hitting fuel cut in second, third and fourth.
my butometer tells me the car feels like it has a mid 12 in her as-is.

You don't need the walbro initially with the 550's if I understand it all. I had to turn my fuel pressure down lower than normal with my MKIV Denso fuel pump as it overfed at WOT and would wash the combustion chamber oil off. Someone can correct me, but I am fairly certain the 550's are fine on the stock fuel pump.

ok guys....... threw the car on the dyno today just for fun. if i recall correctly, it put down 270hp@ 5500 and 360tq at 3000. i have no way to tune it, so i'm just running it as is. i set the boost at 16 and it falls to about 13 up top. i'm pretty pleased with the results.
i'm still on the ct26 and only have a few bolt ons. :) the next step is adding the bullseye power turbo and some way to tune everything. i'll post the graph when the tuner sends me the link.

the stock fuel pump is fine with the Lexus/550 mod, up to a point, but that point is past the capabilities of the stock turbo, and arguably past the point if an upgraded CT-26. I was able to run 18 PSI on my 60-1 (Which is way bigger than a Ct-26) on the stock fuel pump without having fuel pressure problems. I ran 15 PSI on the stock pump and stock FP regulator. I didn't go to 18 until I had installed the Aeromotove AFPR.

I'm just waiting for another Lexus AFM to install mine on the '90, though I'm not installing boost control on that turbo, so it's not like it'll make a difference.
