what bov do you run and why do you like it or hate it

I ran the type-s and hated it, it would surge like crazy and didnt have the greatest sound. I now run a HKS racing bypass valve (not the hks racing bov), i love it, no surging issues and its a very faint noise.
Blitz DD ftw.

Hmm. I run a HKS SS. I don't know if it'll stand up to your 30 psi expectation tho. I've only ran it at 29 psi. Multiple times.
Right now, my supra has the HKS SSQV, i'm debating on selling it, and getting a Blitz DD. I liket he sound of the DD, but then i hear they leak under boost. anyone no for sure on this? either go with blitz DD or get the other insert for the HKS.

I used the Gredyy type S, I didnt like it It sounds like a chirping bird, whistling. It functioned well but I got sick of the sound within like a month. Some people have it set very loose so it is chirping all the time, I dont like it.
I have also used the older Blitz super sound BOV, it worked exelent and sounds great, just a sharp air releasing sound, no chirping or whistling. I would have kept it but the valve is quite small and it wouldnt release enough air for my current hp.
I now use the Tial BOV, it has one of the biggest valves available, it sounds allot like the Blitz, just a sharp air releasing sound. It is a little slow reacting because the valve is so big. Sometimes you get a surge just before it opens up. The only way to adjust it is to change the spring, which is a pain, and the springs are like $30 each.

i run the hks ssqv and love it but the hks racing might be up your alley for the higher boost. mk4s use it alot and have heard nothing bad about them. i think they are quieter than the ssqv but maybe i just cant remember correctly {shrug}
I use the BOV from the MKIV, plumbed right into factory location, and it seems to work well for 1.1 bar. Although, I think I've got some compressor surge, and I think it leaks boost at peak 1.1 bar, and am thinking of ditching it for another, so I'm watching this thread with great interest.

You could use a condom for all I care as a BOV... I'm just recommending what works the best... pull out.
Johnathan: Not having a shot at you unless this actually applies but buying a BoV based on how it sounds has to be one of the most gay arse Ricer things I've ever heard of ......... :nono:
