Its the same thing.
no there not

parking brakes are ment to hold the car in park not to use in motion they will burn up

e brakes can be used to stop a car in motion since they use the foundation brake shoes and they have an energizing effect that will wedge shoes into the drum and in stopping the car with no brake assist compared to rotor and hat type which just pretty much holds the car in park

Arguing for the sake of arguing is idiotic. They're the same thing. Even if you wanted to argue that it's a parking brake, you're be wrong since it's a separate system specifically for use if your brakes fail.

dude I do this for liveing stop being a tard

Go in your car got to 100km and then use you parking brake and see what happens it will fail
it desigh to hold our car at 30% grade that is all..

go in truck with rear drum and do the same thing you will lock up the rear tires or be able to slow down slowy if chooseing since it will self energize and the foundation shoes will jam into the drums and not fade out

that's why back past they used drum they did not need power assist brakes like we have now a days

Argueing over semantics is idiotic.

The e-brake/parking brake is on it's own system specificly because of it's use as an emergency brake. All cars are required to have them for just that reason. If you do this for a living you should know that.

Mine will lock up my rear wheels just fine, might want to fix yours.

Rice? No its Corn (E85)
so after reading 9 pages of technical arguing, this is what i got out of it...
If looking for above stock response on budget
-up grade lines
-better pads
-better fluid
-good blanks
cons- nothing much
pros-cheap fix with no big worries
If looking for race response
-larger brakes
-better fluid
-system to handle load
cons-expensive,more responsibility
pros-stops like race car

please feel free to correct my statement or add technical info
