Thanks Ryan for starting this thread. Now I can go off topic in my own thread.............:biglaugh: ........I really have never thought of starting one for my car. It has been such a long process to get it where it is. All the credit must go to Jay, I just stand back point fingers, ask questions, and tell him what I want next. The things that are done to my car are my chose, but he is the muscle and the know how behind the build.
A little history: We got the car from Wisconsin. It was advertised as in excellent condition...NOT. When it got to our house it was leaking oil from everywhere. We had a rebuilt motor ordered and sent it to a shop in Birmingham. It took them 6 months to do a "two week" job. :3d_frown:
We got the car home and it was losing transmision fluid from somewhere. Jay did much work trying to figure out where it was going. I blew the turbo seal. The professionals that installed my motor crossed the oil and transmission lines and I was pumping transmission fluid into the motor. Too much fluid ..something will blow.
My Ct26 was rebuilt and upgraded, and the transmission was rebuilt...started slipping. We changed the air intake, changed the exhaust, added a manual boost controller, new tires and rims, new paint, and I was addicted...:evil2:
Recently I have some parts donated from a very nice man who decided to go 1JZ. I now have 550 injectors, a Garrett TO4E, a new 255 Walbro fuel pump, and Lexus AFM. My tail lights have been tinted by a wonderful young yankee who came to visit,:icon_bigg and I have clear side markers. ( I installed the rear ones....yeah me):biglaugh:
I know this post was a little long, but I thought I would try to bring it up to date.
Thanks for all the comments so far. Sorry I didn't post last night but I was sleeping while all of this was coming together.
