Started eating away at the little hump between both valve guides. First got cylinder 2 then went to 1. Was caught up most of the day so I didn't have the time I would have liked to work on the head.

I can't wait to see how it turns out!!

So that's currently what I'm doing. Progress might be slowed down a bit here at work. My service manager wants me to clock out when I want to work on my head since things are slow. Doesn't want me getting paid hourly for working on my own motor. So more valve guide reduction during lunch.
What are you talking about Ian? If you are talking about cutting the valve stems, yes i did. What did i F@$K up now?IJ.;1622501 said:Hope you DIDN'T take Greg's advice on this one.....
IJ. said:"LOL it's a longevity issue, longer guide give better service life for the valve seats as the vales can't rock as much."
"I usually leave the guides alone there's maybe 2hp difference and I prefer engines that last a long time. "
