Pfft, One vehicle was most likely a Supra and had to go to the gas station for gas. The Supra shot a rod, which blew through the car like a hot knife and butter, hit a stop sign, flew all the way to grandma's, hit her in the head, she stumbled to the phone, called 911, Fuzz dressed as an officer arrived shortly and did a spin kick, causing a wormhole which in time caused delorean to reproduce the DMC and in a matter of seconds, ate a banana cream pie in the amazon ocean.

Am I close?

1 car did mass burn-outs... causing his car to think he was moving, when in reality his tires were the only thing moving.

Sadly with these questions, there are multiple answers... it may not be the answer you are looking for... "How can this be?" a question, asking for an answer...

many answers have been given, all of which are completely correct....

can, NOT how did this happen... but how can (could) this be...

sorry when a question does not have a definite answer... then there is no point in attempting to answer, because it all comes down to whatever the "creator" of that question thought of, not what the others thought of..

I chose "E" - Not enough information to properly answer the question

I love these things when there is only 1 possible answer... I completely hate them when there are 20 different possible ways it happened, and those who are giving the answers are told they are wrong. That is incorrect, they are correct, just not giving the answer you were looking for.

Fact is, you're not right... There are parameters to the question which no one has be able to satisfy to be "correct."
So no one has given the right answer yet

u mad?

Sorry man, the burnout response completely satisfies all requirements.

Traveled same distance = check
Traveled same route = check

Doing burnouts causes odometer to read 30 miles higher = check.

/thread.

I just came up with this one, so it does need some details... such as

"No traffic laws were broken, both vehicles are driven, speedometers are in miles checked and calibrated (identical), same exact route on highway taken... etc."

EDIT: Finished reading after the below quoted, I am keeping my answer there, but I want you to understand, I only made this reply to sorta show you, that you have to either have enough parameters in place that only one answer fits, or the purpose behind the "think outside the box / put your mind to the test" idea, doesn't quite go well

u mad?

Not mad at all... but all parameters have been filled... let me put some of my answers on there....

Answer 1 -
Car A Drove 40 miles to grandma's and stopped to get gas (so 44 miles)
Car B Drove 40 miles to grandma's while doing 10 minute long burnout's at 34 MPH (Tire Speed) 6 times... well...

Car A Drove 40 Miles + 4 Extra Miles
Car B Drove 40 Miles + 34 Miles His car thought he drove doing burnouts

Before you tell me, the above CAN'T happen, neither can your little question either, unless you wish to create the question with google maps, and show me a gas station that is DIRECTLY in between 2 locations (and I am talking no .4 mile difference)...

so there your answer has been given (and if you wish to say I didn't fill a parameter I will edit the answer to fill that parameter)

I am not trying to be a douche, but I am simply saying, this question has more then one answer

You really should provide the answer now that all possibilities have been extinguished.

30 miles difference by taking the turns on the inside?
That trip must have been 800 miles or more.
Only 1 car filled up with gas, dosn't seem to add up.

One vehicle took all turns and curves in the highway on the outside, and the other took them all on the inside.

gayness, i was actually going to say that.

My other answer was going to the 2miles to the gas station was a radial measurement and actually took 15miles on the road to get to the gas station 2miles away from the highway. hence the 30 mile difference.

problem solve another way :icon_bigg i win
