Damn I'm very sorry to hear about the loss. However, look on the bright side, there are some things you can save like the radiator looks fine, just needs to be cleaned up a bit. It could have been a lot worse, looks like relocating your battery saved you from an explosion.

Sorry for the loss!

It has already been brought up, but that wasn't an electrical fire. It was probably the ignition, but you had gasoline burning.

there were no traces of anything leaking and i have been checking quite often the past few days since i pulled the injectors over the weekend. But its just too hard to tell. Fire report was inconclusive. We'll see what the insurance company says.

^^That's just shameless, Kyle.

Really sorry about your car... :( The same thing happened to my mom's jetta...turned it off, and within 15 minutes the whole thing was engulfed in flames.

At least you caught it before it destroyed the entire car. I would pull the interior, and any good parts off of it, and swap them over to a new Supra, or sell for cash.

Good luck. :D

well the insurance people should be here tomorrow or thrusday, after that i can get a better idea of what my plans will be.

i can only hope they don't completely screw me over. I have State Farm so they are usually pretty good i guess

Good God! That's horrible

Get your game face on for the insurance adjuster and remember it's his job to get you to settle for as little as possible, it's your job to not settle (right away) and get as much as possible. Get tough....Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

My "guess" after looking at the before pics..

Braided line to FPR rubbed through the B+ cable to the Alternator :(

At the risk of sounding like I'm kissing the moderators ass;

I think that's a good "guess" on the cause of fire.

That happened to me a month and a half ago. I am just finishing rebuilding it. It cost me under 2000. Click my build thread in my sig if you wanna see how I am redoing mine. All I can suggest is all new wiring,upper intake manifold, of course all hoses and lines, and anything else that was destroyed. It is a bitch to fix it but so far I think mine is worth it. Sorry to hear about yours I know exactly what your feelin....except I didn't have insurance coverage for that.
