Well.

bad news.

Got off the phone with insurance.

The conversation by far is not over but it left off at something like this:

Rep: "Do you have the title?"

Me: "yes somewhere, i just need to find it"

Rep: "Wait, is this car in your name?"

Me: "Yes it is"

Rep: Pause. "Well we could have an issue then since you are the owner on your parents policy, its supposed to be owned by her, we may not be responsible for this"

Me: "WHAT?!, I've been on this policy since i was 16, it better be taken care of"

Rep: "You are only listed as the primary driver for the vehicle."

-------------------------------------Few minutes later

Rep: "I need to speak with my supervisor about this"

Me: "Okay, bye"

------------------------------End

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!WTF?!?!?!?! Not responsible my ass! Not to mention they were supposed to upgrade my insurance to a rebuilt engine but they consider anything over 6months old NOT NEW!!! Its not even based on mileage!! WTF.

They gave my car and overall "moderate" condition. BS, my car was just as close to Mint as you can get and anyone who has seen it can vouch. I went through their classification guidlines section by section and not ONE area was in "moderate" condition, only up to "Minor"

On top of that, want to know how they value my car?? They called a guy in jersey that recently sold an '88 supra and asked him what condition his was in and they compare it with mine. So if this guy had rust all over it they would look at mine and see it had no rust so they would adjust the value up. Thats BS. Anyone knows a mint car liek this sells 4,5,6 times what a non-good condition car sells for in the supra world b.c they are RARE.

^^^ They are trying to get out of it... If the insurance is under that car, no matter what it is still under that insurance regardless.

Had this issue before. Fight it. Pull out your insurance rules and policies. Its not Listed that car must be title under insurance titled name.

Had a similar situation with my 89' Car was solely in my name, and the policy was in my dads name, with me as a second driver. They paid but told me in order to remain on the policy that the needed to be in my name and my dads name.

It is their problem for not checking the title on the car to insure that it its owned by the proper person.

I have Allstate. Car was in near mint condition. Got lucky with my adjuster, turns out he bought his wife a MKIII for his wife as a wedding present. He got me the max he could without totaling the car. Which is what I want. He wrote me a check for ~$2900

Might want to PM 'adjuster' on the forums if you haven't already to ask his advice. His screen name says it all. Good luck man.

well if things fall through i will.

Luckily i have a friend who is very good friends with a person VERY VERY high up in State Farm. High up as in he owns a good portion of it :naughty:. So if things really go south he said he'd ask him for some help

Apparently the guy is really cool, in his 50's and lovin life. He actually came down to WVU one time and went to a bar/pub here. He liked it so much when he went he said "im gonna buy this". Walked right up to the owner and cut him a check. His excuse was, "now i can come down and drink whenever i want." lol
