The speedo in the US is only required to be within 7%, plus or minus. And they are built optimitic, to slow you down. So if it is 5% fast, 5% of 60 mph is not nearly as much of an error as 5% of 125mph.

Elevation? Tune/age? A proper 7MGE W58 Supra will do 130, but not much more. 150 is impossible without a gearing change, and then more power.
164mph is possible with a 3.9:1 rear end and a W58. (limiter at 7000rpm), stock 7mge limiter is 6900rpm or mine was when I had a stock ecu.:icon_bigg

So 160mph isn't out of the question assuming a very long down hill road

Not on mine used to crack 106-108kmph in second, now does 111kmph with the 7000rpm limit.

That was a manual MA70 ecu.

I think your car was once stock too :D But not anymore, when you thought it was:icon_razz

Like I said, with out a gearing change. And dream on if you think a 7MGE in an MA70 model is going to do 160 mph with any gear set.

I did the math once before. 6750 fuel cut is about 142 with a W58 and stock 4.30 gear. I think.

I go flat out in mine a few times a week and I can barely get it past 5000 rpm in 5th. Ive got a run of about 5K to the base where I work after I go through a secure monitered area and I agree that the NA doesn't have enough balls. Ive had mine for about 10 years, been through 3 motors 2 transmissions and one LSD(which turned out to not be bad after all).
Ive only modified intake and exhaust which helped a little.

The top speed with a redline of 6500, 4.30 gearing, W58, and stock size wheels and tires is 152.8 mph. Jeff Gore did the math for me a while back.
