fantastic! looks like your friend runs a good shop, to get it all perfect first try like that.
your prep work must have been great! any flaws would have shown through for sure. nice work on moulding of the side skirts, that front bumper will look like it belongs now. Trust me when I say I feel your pain about that hand sanding, but it all pays off later, nice work!
They are good. I busted ass prepping it with them all day , then when it came to spray time, I stayed outside and let them do their thing. I talked to them when they came out between coats, but I didn't stand there and stare while they were shooting, ...I hate when people do that while I'm working. I was just not letting myself believe it would come out that good so I wouldn't set myself up for disappointment. All the time I spent on the filler and sanding was worth it, everything came out exactly how I wanted it.

I have just lost all motivation to finish my car! I can never match this. Looks great Ken! Maybe I can at least do the 3E5 world proud.
And yes, if lighting isn't perfect orange takes over the red on new red paint. Some of my engine bay pics did that too.
Come on Scott....this should be more motivation for you my friend, I can't wait til you get that thing all one color. I wish we both would have had them done for Chicago!

the facotry red will show orange highlights in certain lights, one of the reasons I like it...
damn that looks nice, self leveled really well and I see no oarnage peel...
can't wait for my car to be done...
I am thankful for no orange peel.....that's alot of work to buff out, I think I saw a little area about 3"x1", real minor though, between the right tail light and rr 1/4, can't see it in the pic though. Are you doing body work on yours now??
