I shot the hatch and targa with base and stopped. I was pisssed at first but i'm over it. Minor setback:x:

I got talking to the new owner that bought our dealership this morning, and he also owns a large body shop. He offered to let me have a couple of his best guys do it on the side. Very cool of him! I talked to them today and if all goes well, it will be Saturday the 22nd. Two guys are going to help me, or more like I help them. The body is going in one booth, and all the parts in another booth and bang it all out at once. I'm also pulling off the doors so all the jams get done right. It will be the one thing I haven't done on my own on the car , but at least they're cool and I get to be a part of it. Not to mention I feel a lot better about it after all that $$ on materials, and the time it would take me if I screw up.
Wow i just went back to read this , That is awesome Ken with the help of the pros your car should look great. Looking forward to the updated pics.:naughty:

So does this guy own a dealership in Alabama by chance? Maybe you could talk him into helping another RED member.

So looking forward to pictures Ken!!! I was wondering if you were going to pull your doors or not?? Kinda cool how Toyota thought about how to run the harnesses in the doors for easy removization???

Make us proud!!!:icon_bigg

Yep, makes it real easy, I'll take a pic before I start this a.m. Car looks pretty bare....no bumpers, doors, targa, hatch , hood. Should be in the 10's easy as it sits now....major weight reduction:biglaugh:
