I don't remember which is which but there are a few different sending units used on various 7m's

Ive seen over 200 7ms in person and prob over 1k online etc and outside of aftermarket units they have all had the same oil pressure sending unit.

:dunno:

But that REALLY looks like a knock sensor.

i do have a couple questions though...
p934301_1.jpg

p934301_2.jpg

does the bottom nipple on the TB connect to the nipple on the pipe?

p934301_3.jpg

and does the other nipple connect to the nipple on the water neck??

would it matter if i was to block them off? advantages? disadvantages?

thanks!!!!!!

Water neck goes to the stock turbo. The other on the throttle body= yes.
Cut those zipties off and use clamps. When you turn the boost up its going to be in the back of your mind wondering whether they're leaking or not.

Make sure you check the oil sending unit plug on wiring harness. Your probably going to want to use the one off of your other motor. Unless you want to cut the connector, it is just a spade terminal though. Fuck. I don't remember, just check it.

Ted...that still doesnt look like a 7m oil pressure sending unit. Maybe a water temp sensor or something. Do a search for oil pressur esending units on here and youll what im talking about. Unless you got some strange random unit from somewhere or the NAs have different ones (which i dont think they did but could be wrong).

As for your coolant. Do yourself a favor and bypass the lines on the TB. just leave them open on there. Then take that black hard hose (the one that comes off the hardline that wraps around the block) and go from that to the nipple that comes off the intake manifold near the front of the engine.

I have a jdm motor, na motor, & turbo motor. I have that same sending unit somewhere. I don't remember which motor it came off of though.

i see what you're saying, but it has the feed hole to measure the pressure. the wierd thing is the connector for the oil pressure sending unit on the harness is for the one you're thinking of. but if anything, it's just a connector, so i'm just going to cut it and put on a female connector to hook it up.

i remember you saying something about bypassing the coolant ports on the TB, i just wanted to make sure.
