Hiding 1911s is actualy pretty easy to do because they are so thin. Over all length isn't bad at all to conceal. It's the thick guns that are hard to hide because they jut out away from your body. They make a bigger "bump" in your clothing.

actually your wrong. long weapons are very hard to make unnoticeable, as they do not bend around the curves. you should know this.

You live in California. I doubt you have one of the 3 or 4 civilian CCW permits that they have issued out there, and thus have never had to try and conceal a weapon. Not to mention you don't even own a gun.

I own examples of everything I have talked about. I carry examples of thin, thick, long, and short. Longer frames are not harder to conceal as there are no curves to bend around when you have a gun pointed down from your hip. With most people, from the hip down the thigh is relatively straight and the only motion is straight forward. So the gun does not oppose the movement of the leg. It goes with the movement and stays hidden. You don't conceal on your elbo or your knee, so the "curves" aren't an issue. You're dealing with a relatively flat area.

But don't take my word for it, visit here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=5&f=10 Go see how long your bullshit will last there.

What are you doing in this thread anyways? You left me neg rep calling me a fag for making a gun thread. Go troll about what you dont know somewhere else.

actually, your wrong again, which is ok. some long weapons, such as long-range rifles extend farther than the knee. as one walks, the knee bends, creating an odd-looking spectacle. it is my assumption that a man walking with one leg constantly straight (not bending) would draw attention from policeperson or another executive official, especially one who knows that some waepons are longer than 2 feet.

As for CCW's, we are in agreement.

ok troll. Most states specify 'concealed HANDGUN permits' now. Anyone who would think about/ actually conceal a long gun isn't doing it for personal defense, they're doing it to be a dousche and go hurt someone.

As for your argument about length/width being concealable - BS. My Glock 34 conceals just as well, if not better than my Glock 30. (34 is longer and thinner than the 30). Take your uninformed trolling ass elsewhere.

meaningless drivel

Bonus12, I've instructed you once to take your liberal flame bait out of this thread.

We are discussing handguns, and the legal concealment of them. Not trying to hide a long range rifle.

You've clearly indictated your liberal anti-handgun bias in the past, everyone here is aware of it. We get it, you don't like guns. We do.

Stop trolling this thread.

Well seeing as how there isn't even a single state in the US that allows you to conceal a rifle; I think it's pretty safe to assume no one but you was talking about, tried, or has even thought of trying to conceal a rifle.

Honestly though, where do you come up with this shit? Please let me know how much gasoline you have to huff to come up with these brilliant ideas of yours. Though, you did get me thinking about how I could conceal my Mauser. I mean, it's only 5ft long and weighs 25 pounds. Maybe an extra parka or two and tell people I got that "wooden leg" during my tenure as a pirate? Arrrrr! Quequay, thats no gun me matie, tiss me leg! Damn that white whale!

Run along now son, let the big folks talk.

Why are 12 year olds so attracted to guns!?

... so anyway ...

I haven't done anything gun-wise lately, but it seems everyone around me is wheelin' and dealin' !! Someone please explain to me, the appeal of the .22 cal Sig, which my brother just picked up? I mean, he's already got a nice ruger bull-barrel .22 pistol for plinkin'.
A friend of my son just picked up his first FAL. I look forward to the privelige of tryin' that baby out next time I get down that way! Tell me how I can want one, before I've even fired one!?

I have deleted Bonus12's current round of bullshit and have removed him from off-topic since it appears he can't play nicely with others.

Back on topic folks.

Clip - Packing.org is a great resource, like Supracentral said, but feel free to PM me with specific questions.

Yaitsme - Sig has the rights to distribute and older designe by Hammerli now. My dad just picked one up, it's an amazing pistol. If that's the one you're talking about - I believe it's their "Trailside" model, it's top-notch

weight is unknown (at least to me). it's going to be multi-caliber. the upper will have the serial number on it, so you can swap out lowers at will. They have two lowers on display at SHOT - one for standard ar15/m16 5.56mm mags and one for ak 7.62x39 mags. It also uses ar/m16 barrels with a no-tool quick change barrel nut and a gas-piston set-up

did anyone hear of an assault rifle that ATK was making? i'd seen it a while back when it was in the prototype stages, but can't remember the name for the life of me.

The XM8 that the army was condering? That program got dropped. Mexico picked up a derivative of it for their army, tho. There were issues with the plastic warping under full auto fire.
