I have an 88 Turbo and i was getting 9.8mpg but i replaced my fan clutch today and now im getting 15.5-16mpg, but i also have another problem as it starts to drop when im at a stop light. But Turbos should get 16-19mpg in the city.

i get anywhere from 10-25MPG.
Depends how heavy your foot is.

i can get up to 25MPG on just highway all day, but i can get about 20 in tow.

i drive an n/a. steel 1-piece driveshaft, intake. and its also a 5-speed.

I have a fairly extensivly moddified 87 turbo 5 speed with a 57 trim turbo and i just went on a 5 mile trip yesterday and clocked 24 MPG this whole trip. With plently of boosting and very spirited driving.

If your not getting good gas mileage, somethings not right guys. Either take your foot off the pedal, or fix yours cars.

pretty much,

I've seen 13 frequently in the city, and if I'm not boosting and going for mileage i get roughly 17-18

I've seen a best of 19 in my car while i was working on lean cruise, but never finished setting the car's tune for it.

last year, on the way to Centralia i managed 33mpg there and 27 on the way back racing a few other people, average cruising speed was 85. and wide band was showing consistent 16.5-17 Afr, no missing, pinging or det.
on the way back i hadn't asked any one, but wrote my mileage down and refilled. i also richened it up a bit since i was worried about any issues.

fairly reliable 20mph in Seattle, completely stock here. Best I received was on a long trip on a flat freeway without any stop and go traffic and at an average speed limit of 70 mph, where I got 24mph. This is according to my Super Monitor computer, which appears to be accurate when compared to the old fashion method. I think the worse I saw was 17mph in solely city driving.

My old NA/AT got about 22mpg city.

If gas mileage is important to you, you need to be thinking about another car.

Since the rebuild and tuning, I have been doing damn well.

I get ~28 mpg's on the highway. City driving is right at 20. I'm sure I don't have my foot in it as much as other people here though.

7M turbo. Got 11-13mpg when I got it. Replaced the head gasket, fixed the knock sensor, did a tuneup, and got 17-18mpg in the city, and 20-21mpg on the highway.

57 trim CT26 + MAFT-Pro on that, btw.

22.4 MPG if I recall. $0.14/mile :)

I have an excel document with formulas calculating my mileage for every fill-up. I have documented every tenth of a gallon that has gone into my car since the day I have owned it as well as tracked the mileage at every fill-up. I got 27 mpg once and 26 a few other times. It's pretty damn consistent @ 20-24 mpg.

I did a tune-up the day I got the car, so I don't really know what the car got before I stepped into its life.

Anywhere between 18 - 34mpg (imperial) daily driving to work and back average about 23 - 24. Long journeys depending on how bored I get 28 - 34.

Looks like my recently swapped 1JZ is getting about 18-20mpg around town, and maybe 25-27mpg on the highway. Sure seems to be a little better than my mildly modded 7M setup used to get.:icon_bigg
