I just spoke to the guy tuning my car in Alanta. After only one hour on the dyno, he said he had all of the drivability issues worked out & he just had a pull of 440whp at 13psi :aigo:. He's going to continue working on the base tune, then start tuning the the timing map to get the turbo to spool earlier than before (full boost at 4300rpm). I asked what he thought the results would be & he said full boost should hit around 3300 - 3500 & the max whp should be at least 480, maybe over 500. I guess stand alone & 2J cams are a decent upgrade.:icon_bigg

Previously on stock cams & Emanage I hit 426whp@20psi, so I could see a gain of 75whp with a much broader power band & a lot more torque...

I don't know when I'll step up to a standalone but you just reminded me I still need to buy cams in the future. God damnit...

Oh, nice numbers. 440@13 is kickin ass. :D

Thats awsome man.
I cant wait to go standalone.

Thanks dood, I recommend Stinger to anyone that has a 1J that is thinking about buying a simple AFC. Sure, you can save around $500 by buying a SAFC, but you're still face with the potential ECU failure & you get a lot more power from your motor...

Unless you're going to run the piss out of it, save your money & go with the Stinger. The shop I took the car to is mainly a honduh shop, so they've never seen the Stinger (not that it's limited to Supras) & they are very impressed with it & the software. I am too! The guy that's tuning my car said that he thinks that it's easier to tune than AEM....

so he never seen it before but was still able to tun it? that means software interface fairly simple then?

Never used it before, I supplied him the software. HE likes it that much, and he's tuned quite a few different ECU's.....

Most ECU SW is much the same once you figure out the Syntax and terminology used :)
