Small update.
Video of the software running on my car: Stinger Software

Went for about a 2KM drive to a gas station and back, tyres needed air (could've used compressor at home, but where's the fun in that!! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: )
Went bloody well considering the only tune is me trying to get it to idle. I didn't boost it at all and hardly brought the revs past 4. Just wanted to clear the spiderwebs from under the car really :)

I have a new turbo to put on, picking up this weekend hopefully. If so then the dyno day of the 10th will be put off till next month.

Aaron - My stock tacho is running a little out of sync. reading 250rpm with the ignition on without the car running! It also seems to get progressivly more out of spec the higher I rev it. Do I need to wire it in the way tou suggest below?

Yes, that circuit will make the tach read correctly.
Thanks for posting your video!

So just to get this straight......it's a 1g engine, with a 7m ignitor, and a few 1j parts for good measure?!? Man, I love the way you work! :icon_bigg That is very cool. The 7m ignitor is a great unit, makes about the best spark you could ask for from a non-CDI ignitor.

Had to add a 1kohm resistor to make the Motec drive the stock tach :)

Was that a specific value that Motec recommended, or did you experiment with a few values?

I figured that having the least load on the tach output of the ecu, while still maintaining stability on the meter, would be the best way to go. I used a pot and went from about 1k all the way to 10k and it worked about the same, but I figured 2.5k would be about right.

Wow, is that video screenshot of the Stinger 4424?? My software doesn't show the gauges (under tuning scree) like that and I can't find any way to change it??

I haven't had a chance to wire in the resistor.
I have just got a new turbo, so I'll make a new flange tomorrow and weld it onto my manifold.

Yep, I've got a bit of a bastardized setup. I was going to use JZ coil-packs, but after seeing the issues my mate's had with them arching out, I decided to use the almighty 7M ignition setup :)

Here's the latest pic, yes I know my engine bay is VERY messy hehe
