I hope you havent put your oil pan on yet....DO NOT use that cork oil pan gasket, it will most likely leak. Use Form in place oil pan gasket from toyota. Or put a thick bead of black RTV gasket sealer around the pan and torque to spec (9 ft/lbs) But other then that, looks great.

Bypass the clutch safety switch when you get a chance if that is the RPS Max 3200 Pressure plate. Those things will tear up your Thrust washers in your engine. Ask me how I know this...

ive heard this as well. the argument is that youre putting load on the thrust washers, then you crank the motor with load it and no oil pressure.

So be disconnecting the clutch safety switch, you can start the car in neutral without depressing the clutch?

uhh i havent been down there in a while and i dont remember if its a two wire switch ,or one.

if its two wire youll have to jumper them together, if its one youll have to ground it.

or vice versa depending on how the switch works.

Yes, its quite convenient as well.. i just threw a couple pieces of duct tape around the relay switch to hold it in the depressed position.. kinda temporary but atleast you dont have to touch the wires

It's a two wire switch. Disconnect the plug and make a short jumper wire, about two inches long using 10 or 8 gauge wire and your good too go.

How do you know this? And how do you do it? I have an RPS 3200 goin in...

BTW: motor looks good man!

I know this because when I first installed my RPS 3200, about 3 weeks after in install I noticed a clunk every time I pushed the clutch in. I had a friend look at the crank when I pushed in the clutch and sure enough I had crank walk. That was on my 7m. I now have a 1jz and have since bypassed the clutch start switch (its 2 wires, just jump them, it takes 1 minute to do at most). Haven't had a problem since. Another thing to take note of is do you usually keep the car in gear with the clutch in at red lights? With such a heavy clutch going in I would avoid doing this as it will increase the life of your thrust bearings.
