oh i agree with you Keros, I am keeping everything else pretty much as-is with some "touch ups" here and there but nothing off the wall, my focus is building up the engine to a 350HP engine ( not to difficult) and leaving everything else normal. The only physical thing I want to do besides possibly the "scissor doors" is do a black base with red as the reflective (think its called pearlescent) paint. updating the interior a little, but I am not doing anything fancy. The only other thing I have done so far is change out the bezel with some reverse glow gauges which I get alot of compliments on. Anyway thanks for the input.
People are entitled to their own opinions about mini-truckers and ricer kids... but I'd take Randy's first hand practical experience to heart before deciding. No matter what anyone does, looks wise, everyone's going to have an opinion one way or the other... but the every-day practicality of the car is something to think about. If the doors may leak like a sieve and you regularly have to park outside, that's something to seriously consider.

Suicide doors can be cool as hell. I still say one of the newer Chrysler cars would have been PERFECT with suicide doors. Remember the Lincolns and their rear doors were this way.
Lots of hot rods have suicide doors too and I wouldn't call them minitrucker or riceboy. The problem is the kids grab onto an idea and wreck it.
The Supra would be very odd with suicide doors - door is way too long to pull that off nicely.
Scissor doors look GREAT on a Supra but suicide scissor doors would be a major PITA and I don't think they would look right at all.
The Gull Wing doors on the Supra would be KILLER! There's that one MkIV kit that had Gull Wing doors and it ROCKED! Not worth ditching the Sport Roof for me though.

Hmmm take a big heavy wobbly leaky car and Mod it so it's heavier wobblier and leakier only in the mk3 world would anyone think this was a good idea....
