Ahaha you will don't worry. I try to finish the white rear housing soon as my dad's almost done the board reversal. He'll be done by next weekend, so I'll have it back to finish the fiberglassing of the white casing. Once done I can do the overlays which hide all the crap and only show the screens, and then finish it up with the main front casings, which need some modification for the twin trip meter and such.

Yeah it was relieving to know the electronics worked for sure! Also, it was awesome just seeing it all lit up cuz it probably hasn't been turned on since it left japan. I highyl doubt I'll have it done by june 10th so sorry cryo. Another thing is i'm not even sure if I can use your car unfortunately, as I'll be using the dash wiring harness from a jz car to plug and play my dash, and that would involve removing your dash to do and stuff, which is a lot of work. I figured when I finish the cluster I'll power it up for pics, but it won't be installed for awhile until I get another supra, and price will dictate when that ever happens. Anyway, supragirl is helping me get the harness and digi sensors from NZ so i hope that all goes well and they get here!
I'll be updating this more often now as I've re-kindled my interrest in this project

I'd be interested, Eric. I have several 7M dash harnesses available if need be.
But I'd definitely be interested. I'd even want to talk specifics, like remove some of the modules if you could, like the coolant temp, basically all but the main hub.

Get yours done first though!

Man, I could make you one with only the main hub with much more ease that this full conversion is taking. You could keep the oil temp, boost, and fuel guages from a regular lhd cluster in place and just use the main board from the digi for the centre of the cluster if you wanted. In order to use a regular 7m dash harness I would require the plugs from a jza70 dash harness anyway, so I could splice into a 7m harness, so I decided to just replace the 7m one with a jz one, but a custom splicing could be done.

I bet it would be easier! I will put all GReddy gauges behind there in lieu of the factory pieces, so yeah. We can definitely talk business whenever you're ready.
What does the main hub consist of for gauges? obviously tach and speedo, but what else?

The main hub is pretty much just the tachometer with its bars, and the digital speedo in the centre. It also has small things like the twin trip odometer readout in the bottom left corner, aswell as the PRD12 for automatics in the bottom right corner. It does come with another smaller glass on the left side of the main huge glass, which shows the digital fuel readout. I suppose that thing COULD be removed, but it fits nicely with it, and even with it still there you can still use your factory mounting holes for oil temp, boost, and fuel, although keeping the digifuel you couls use another guage in the fuel guage spot on the far left, maybe egt or something w/e the point is it would be sweet :icon_bigg. you'll know when I'm done this one if you follow it, and then we'll get serious or not. I'm sorta excited about your project cuz I know I could pound one out with much greater ease ahahaa, but for me I wanted the full digi mirrored so it becomes much more difficult.

Yeah, Eric that's true. I'd be down for a full mirror if I were using all the factory instruments.
But I'm buying a couple more GReddy gauges and there's no use being redundant there.... but that's only if I can't squeeze what I want into the cluster. We shall see.... I'll definitely be in contact with ya.

IIRC it shows a display of km and mi, but Suze was talking about this a long time ago... I wonder too if there was something found out... a hidden switch?

I haven't taken a close look yet, although I doubt there is an actual swtich to turn between miles/km, I bet there is a way to do it. Since I'm located in Canada we use km anyway, so it's no sweat off my back :icon_razz but I might try figuring it out anyway for you yanks ahahaa.
