I can't know anything about the engine until I get off work tonight. Coolant was empty in both the overflow and the radiator. I suspect it left by way of tailpipe or oilpan.

I wish they'd stolen it next week, after my kill switch was in.

Because of my hidden problem that is sapping my battery's energy, I have to disconnect the battery every time I get out. Also, even though I'm in Florida, I always use my e-brake. I also wear the only key I have around my neck, and after reading this thread, I'd think everyone else should make a necklace to carry around their EFI fuse with them and keep the EFI fuse in some case. People ask me why I carry my key around on my neck, I say "part of it is because I love my car". If you really do love yours, perhaps this isnt such a bad idea...

Really sorry for everything that happened man, that really sucks that you got it back in that condition...good luck on getting everything right again!

A kill switch is much more convenient than pulling a fuse, and I wouldn't want to risk breaking a fuse or wearing out the contacts.
A pager alarm with an immobilization system would be best - most kids aren't going to get around that. One of the precautions I am taking is installing a quick-release hub for my JZA70 Momo steering wheel.

Dude.. go out to that road, hide out with a shotgun and lie in wait. It'll be more satisfying than anything. Scare the fuck out of them, pull citizen's arrest and turn them over to the cops.

There was a new gun law passed here in Florida about shooting-to-kill to protect your property or something...I think its for something like this

First off, I feel for you man. I hope you get retribution and the idiots suffer for their crime.

Pulling EFI fuse is a good idea but too much talk about it can help the enemy. If someone is targeting our cars on forums here ummm they could just read this and carry a fuse with them. The same principle with a removable steering wheel on a hub, they can have those ready too.

I agree with what was mentioned - the best way to go is some sort of hidden switch that truly disables the car like fuel pump. We all have to be creative and not standardize :) After reading this I have just added this to my list of work to do ASAP.

Don't get too paranoid, folks. Car theives steal vehicles, they are rarely internet gurus, and they don't generally research for good cars to steal on the net.

true the guys who stole his car were joy riders, just alittle more high tech than most. As for the big guys who steal cars, they dont need to search the net they know when were and how much the car is worth, and they dont steal supras.
they take their chances on something that is more popular AKA camerys, civics, stuff that they can chop and sell quick. they know in a small community that everyone would be watching each others backs, so if a part shows up and someone claims they own it and it was stolen, who ever is selling is going to get the shit kicked out of them.

I know exactly how you felt when it happened. I lost a Toyota 4x4 truck to some bastards that basically did the same thing to it, as they did to your Supra. It's motor was never the same again after that. Ended up selling it for a big loss a couple of months later. On the bright side, you do have it back, some people never see or hear another thing about their vehicle after it's jacked. Did you hear about that recent case here in Washington, where the car owner caught the thief in the act and choked the living shit out of him? Literally!, he ended up dying! I say, good fucking riddance! Those bastards don't have the right to even breathe our air! They just closed the books on that case too,... no charges filed against the owner/victim. Let that be a warning to anyone who stoops to the depth of lowness, stealing someones pride and joy, that is a part of ther very being! I would have no problem busting a MF'ers head open, if I caught them. Mind you, I'm not advocating murder, just some good old fashion justice! If I had the time, I would help you set a trap using my car, and my AR-15 for the citizens arrest, it would be something to see those assholes crap all over themselves staring at the .223 hole at the end of a 4" flash suppressor! Good luck man, I hope you find out who it was.

May justice be served here on earth, before the judgement.

On behalf of Aussie supra owners my heart goes out to you.
These people are the lowest of all breads. I know all to well, the only thing I ever got back was the glass that was left on the ground.

Just a quikie, Although if I thought about it enough I could do it but its 1am and im a little tired. Is there, or maybe someone could do a quick write up on how to install a cheap kill switch. Couple of pics would be cool, then we can just decide were to put the switch. Not everyone can afford a decent alarm and it is a little more conveniant then pulling the EFI fuse. Just a thought, I do have an alarm by the way, but this bullshit has to stop!

P.S If you ever catch em give a good kick in the nuts for me!

creating a killswitch is very simple just need to go to like radio shack and grap a flip switch and some wires. run it to the EFI fuse and have it disconnect it when ever you flip the switch simple on off mecanism. just mount the switch somewhere hidden.

Take any switch, I prefer buttons, and wire it into the power on your car. If your really intent on stopping them just wire it in between the power supply and the ecu. That way when they try to jack it, the starter motor will turn its guts out, but the ecu will not be functional. aka, they will think it is broken.
