As the title states.I was jsut wondering what does a 7mgte normal idle at?Mine is at about 1100 rpm and wont drop even after running for a good 30 mins.Does it have a idle adjustment screw or is it more complex to change it?

Mine settles to about 750-800 once warm with lights and AC/ heat off. It could be several different thing from timing to sensors. The trouble shoot in the TSRM may be helpful.

The normal idle is listed in your owner's manual. You can easily adjust the idle. Your next order of business is to get a TSRM if you don't already have one.

The throttle plate should be totally closed and the ICS should be keeping your idle in check. Make sure the throttle plate is closing all the way, if it is you could have a vacuum leak.

I'd check the timing. I know when mine is off it idles at about a grand, with it correct 700-800 rpm.

My explanation isn't for "adjusting" the idle. Nor are the odds likely it would apply to his car (or his problem) anyway.
