As the title states.I was jsut wondering what does a 7mgte normal idle at?Mine is at about 1100 rpm and wont drop even after running for a good 30 mins.Does it have a idle adjustment screw or is it more complex to change it?

Mine settles to about 750-800 once warm with lights and AC/ heat off. It could be several different thing from timing to sensors. The trouble shoot in the TSRM may be helpful.

The normal idle is listed in your owner's manual. You can easily adjust the idle. Your next order of business is to get a TSRM if you don't already have one.

Joel-Those last two sentences were not questions. You may want to address that before the GP come get ya. ;)

I see your point. I was sort of phrasing them as a question because I am not 100% sure it would be helpful. lol...
I fixed it for you. :)

The throttle plate should be totally closed and the ICS should be keeping your idle in check. Make sure the throttle plate is closing all the way, if it is you could have a vacuum leak.

Thanks Craig. The way I see it, I treat everyone with respect until they prove to me they are not worthy of it :) Then it's just a matter of self control and some experience on forums like this, I learned not to take crap too seriously.. :)

Also I delete bunches of my own posts before MOST people can see them... LMAO...

This is what i was refering too (no high idle drop) page FI-18

Really. I'd be interested in hearing how this is accomplished. There is no procedure for doing it in the manual (nor should there be). Can you explain?
That's funny. I don't recall saying that the procedure to adjusting your idle was in the basic owner's manual.

Either quote me correctly or not at all. I don't appreciate being taken out of context, please and thank you.

There's your explanation.

I don't know why everyone says adjusting the idle can't be done, or isn't worth it. There's a bleed screw on the throttle body under a rubber cap. You can just back it out a little for a higher idle. I've done it with no repercussions.

My explanation isn't for "adjusting" the idle. Nor are the odds likely it would apply to his car (or his problem) anyway.
