Not sure quite yet, I haven't looked under there. My hope is that a clamp let go on the pipes inside the cabin, or an O-ring wasn't up to the pressure and blew out. A new core is ~$400 from the dealer D:

Engine hoist and stand are back in the garage, engine's coming out tomorrow night!

I put a cheaper core in my old car. Worked good for 25k/2 years. Think it was around 50-100 dont remember tho.

My guess would be it's split in the V on the end tank.

Hey Sean, what ended up being wrong with the black car? I drove over to IL to ride up with Suprafanatic to look at the car.

What did you do to fit your pumps in the tank, did you remove the plastic baffling? I'm almost there,
but seems to be getting stuck at the plastic baffle and at the rim of the tank where the bulk head
fittings come through.

Nothing crazy, just strapped the pumps to the hanger and aligned the pickup socks to not hit the basket too much. It was a VERY tight fit.

Didn't get rid of the basket, rather I drill out the feeding hole in the basket to about ~14mm to make sure there would not be a flow issue. You want it there in case you drive on an uneven road or park on a hill!

Update! Well maybe not, just a list of stuff I've bought for the car :p

ATI crankshaft damper
2mm Stopper
All the other gaskets
ARP Main studs
Silicone oil for the fan clutch rebuild

Seriously considering going for for +1 SS valves, dual springs, and the extra porting!

Steve,
I remember the day when you weren't going to do very much to your car? I like your idea about porting, In fact, I may do the same thing.

Even V will agree, the suspension and brakes were some of the best upgrades done last winter! Thanks for the tips, Ian!

Kinda wish I had gotten swaybars, but that will come in time as well!
