Would it be worth sourcing extra long bolts for the clamps?

Stockers work just fine if you align everything properly.

If the bushings aren't aligned, the "clamps" won't close all the way, and further tightening will only serve to bend the shit out of everything.

So all you guys have installed the RK steering bushings?

I'm wondering as well, has anyone installed any other brands? Are there any other brands available for steering rack bushings, out of curiousity?

well you could try the 2000 celica bushings

You havbe it on good authority they would fit or do they just seem similar? I'm curious, I like finding other car parts that are interchangeable.

PM ronnie if you need them right away. I don't need mine yet I'm lurking around to find anyone who wants to sell theirs back until my time comes, if I don't get them I'll go straight to the source as well!

There are probably other problems if you're fighting to keep the car straight, check your suspension geometry, those huge rims are bound to change a few things.

The wheels are probably the main cause, but I do know that the bushings are toast. Any other suggestions to stabilize the steering on a car with wide offset rims? Camber? I'm eager to reduce this problem.

You asked what will help your car steer with the offset rims, Toe is what you need to look at front and rear as you've changed the scrub radius stock settings aren't going to cut it.
