Here's the throttle contraption I polished like a mirror along with the exhaust heat shields (And I re-did the strut, y-pipe, and throttle body) sanded to 4k.

Crankcase has been drilled for the oil feed, along with the coolant lines ready. All I need now is a CT26 and I'll be boosting!

So what happened to your theory on a reliable car????:icon_evil huh! if you boost it you need one of my custom manifolds btw.

You're making some good progress, but I have to ask - If you planned to go turbo, why did you give the go ahead to have $3 grand spent on it?

I can't help but think that money would have been better off spent on an already turbo'd car (I'm no expert on US prices, but I'm sure $3k + the sale of your car would have netted a nice Turbo)

BTW, Are you planning on using GE or GTE electronics with the NA/T

I'm not sure, I called the shop today and they said they haven't started any turbo progress yet. So I think I'm going to wait until I get used to the car and I get all the turbo parts anyway.

Well that valve stem seals needed it, along with the struts and the compression tested. (It was about a 5psi difference all across the board).

What was the compression of the engine?

And you should ask for all of the old parts back, so that way you KNOW they changed them, and at least in CA, they have to give them to you if you ask for them. And i still think thats a load of BS for the struts... im suprised they didnt tell you some other lame shit...

I agree with the struts being a rip off, but what can you do? I've never ridden in his car so maybe they were all fubar'd, but it's highly unlikely. No matter, it will ride a lot smoother now and his parents are paying for it so just enjoy it Matt.

The compression was like 195 all the way across (Don't quote me, but that's what I remember), either way, the compression was good on all cyl.

And yes the struts were bad, I could feel a BIG difference between how it rode, and how it rides.
