The car is taken to Meineke today. We had the exhaust leak fixed, the power steering leak fixed, new plug wires installed, new brake pads, new neutral safety sensor, A/C fixed, new valve seals, new head gasket, new oil pan gasket, new alternator, wheel bearings re-packed with grease, differential fluid changed, new radiator fan, and last but not least the temperature gauge fixed.

g/j on getting all that changed & fixed. :bigthumb: how much that come out to? you finally stop being sick i guess now ;)

It came to a total of 1,310 so far, and that's not the final bill. My parents want to make sure my car is a good daily driver for when I turn 16 in 5 days!

Good job Matt. I'm glad they're helping you out, and I'm sure you'll return the favor for them as well. Good luck with the drivers license test. Make sure not to let Mr. Banks spill his coffee........(old school movie with the Corey's)

haha yeah I'll make sure to pass the test and the first time around.

And apparently, the compression is good, but it's out of alignment and ALL 4 STRUTS ARE BROKE!!!

So the bill is getting bigger!

Imagine that.........they found something else for them to fix. Who would have thunk it?

Did you bounce like a trampoline when going down the road before you took it to them?

wow nice stuff! you got all that done for 1300? HOW? i thought the headgasket job alone would eaisly cost 800ish in parts and labor, or more... but you had all those other little things done too... well i guess the other things aren't that bad, especially if they pulled the motor for the headgasket.

keep your car looking nice, and good luck with everything, sounds like you're getting a lot of little potential failure spots outta the way!

and I agree, it's N/A but can still be a handful, take it easy until you get used to the car so you can have it for a long time. I've seen way to many highschoolers wreck their cars, I've almost lost several good friends, and actually lost other kids within my old school... and all were because they were immature, inexperienced, and made stupid decisions. You seem like a nice guy and I like your car, it would be a shame to risk both those things. :D

Oh and good luck on that driving test if you haven't taken it yet ;)

I'd be very suspicious and would want to know how they are broke. I hate shops like that. If I were your parents I'd be asking a lot of questions, like how they determined they were BROKE. Sorry, I'm getting more pissed as I type. I smell a rat, and besides, you are mechanically inclined enough to replace those yourself. Don't let them charge yall $1000 to do what you can do for less than $500.

^^Agreed.

The car is stunning, and getting better by the day

Thanks, it's the best I can do. But nowhere near as much work has been put into this as some of the members Supras here. I was looking at a restoration somebody did that was extremely impressive, even restoring the door locks, entire frame, body, motor and drive train, suspension and all that good stuff.

So far I have the 7m-gte manifold, ebay hardpipes and intercooler. HKS MHG and an upgrade kit for the A340E transmission. Looking for a ct26 as I only plan to go easy for a daily driver.

But yes, I am officially going turbo.

Taking the car directly from Meineke Tuesday and driving it to street sports to start the oil lines (They say they have some along with coolant lines)

Bill is reaching 3 grand.

Pics soon.
