Here in Ontario, there are 3 classes

g1-beginner - I got mine when I turned 16
g2- my current lisence- got this 8 months after i got my g1 - I took drivers ed
g - full lisence- I'll get this in may 2008

It all depends on the state you live in. Some places [did] have it set up to where youll have your permit at like 15, but idk if times have changed in these places. Here in Kentucky (Boone County - prior to Oct 1, 2006) You could get your permit on your 16th. That meant that there had to be someone older then 21 in the passenger seat. Thats all. Then 6 months later, you had your full license and thats it...
Now we have a 3 step thing like you guys up north have. I dont know particulars though.

Got my permit on October 20, 2004. Got my license on April 20, 2005. I didnt want to skip a beat. That makes makes me 18.

Got the Supra at 4:00pm on September 13, 2005.
