I did, and that cage is bad ass... I was looking at the back, is that for the chute? I wanna cage mine, eventually... I think I may, just for rigidity... *targa top* I also LOVE what you did with the rear sub frame... I see all this bein done, and I know eventually, Im going to have to do it with my car... I wish I could weld... A buddy of mine, the guy that does the custom welding on my car, once told me: If you know how to weld, you will never look at a car the same way again, because you will always know where you can improve it and you'll know you have the ability to do it........ That is so true...

That is verry true. Yea i firts decided to cage my car when i was driving trought my buddies back yard real slow going to the bond fire. I had my windows up and the targa off and i could watch the window gap at the a piller go from none to almost a 1/4 inch so that helped alot pluss i wanna go fast. And with the chute mount nhra says im legil to 8.5 or slower so thats good.

Hey Wes in your one pic you have the tranny sitting on its bellhousing I had my 1st gear slip into place without the use of the shifting fork I had to break the tranny apart to disengage it! Just thought I would give you a heads up save you some grief.

My guess is at the wrecking yard this was a few years ago I finished putting in the used tranny, new flywheel, new clutch and the AL drive shaft and a 2way Kaaz, after getting it all back together I start it up and I let the clutch out and its stuck in 1st gear but I could move the shifter from side to side as if it was in neutral. I was Fuxkin pissed! Ya every time I see a tranny stored like I have to tell them.

The selector lever moved out of position in relation to the shaft heads. That really shouldn't happen unless the trans lost one of the small snap rings that goes on those shafts. They limit the shaft from moving too far. Storing a good tranny like that won't hurt anything.

I had the same thing happen to me. Instead of lifting the tranny to carry it I rocked it back and forth on its bellhousing and put the tranny in to find it locked in gear, just pulled the tailhousing off with it still in the car and popped the gear back into the proper spot.

i went through 5 belts trying to find one that fit the best for that bracket... i would notch the bottom adjustment hole larger to the inside.

if you want the part number i used i'll go look for ya....
