here are pics of my newer ones as promised. for the back part of the housing im thinking of making a mold to make the new piece or fiberglass the current one. the last pick is of the light cut off using a dinky LED light. Oh and excuse the mess, when im in school it tends to get that way

they are most likely foglight housings. i picked them up because they were the perfect size 3X6.5. the projectors are generic ones off ebay that i took apart

Foglights aren't going to have near the output needed...

Also, the IS250 headlight isn't bi-xenon, so you won't have a high beam...

No poodles the unit is Bi xenon it has the solenoid for flipping the cut off away. IS250 also use 9006 bulbs as a compliment to the hi beam from the projector. Here is a pic showing high and low for you.

I can and have drove with just the fogs. They are better then stock headlights which are brand new and properly aimed.

Were saying that yes you can drive with fogs, but they do not produce the right light pattern or intensity to be DOT approved. I also dont understand the yellow light? You get much better intensity and light output if you use 4-5k kelvin range as you use the full color spectrum vs one wave length of color. Im glad you feel comfortable with the fogs but I would prefer a full projector of light as they are designed to put light out farther.

Ah, my bad, thought they were only low beam because of the extra high beam.

Absolutely 100% wrong and dangerous. The light is too low and of the wrong pattern. Lots of foreground light gives you a false sense of security as you can't see shit at distance.

It's called selective yellow and it's good for a real fog light.

Finally got around to getting a pic of my mod to the pivot arms.
You can see where I cut the arm about 3/4 of an inch shorter, and relacated the ball, by knocking it out(press fit), drilling the same size hole, and drilling/tapping the backside of the ball for a small screw.

In retrospect, it's not necessary to actually cut the extra length off, as it wouldn't interfere with movement, and that way, you could instantly reverse the mod by simply unscrewing the pivot ball and relocating it back.
