Which downpipe did you go with? I know the hx35 has an odd outlet size and my 3" v-band clamp just slides over it. Did you get the outlet machined off then a new 3.5" v-band welded on? I'd measure my DM downpipe but they didn't ship it to me..

Got any links?

i actually made my own since i had very little room from the exhaust housing to the firewall. (im using the old style driftmotion header)
ordered up some of these http://www.siliconeintakes.com/prod...d=321&osCsid=c8d21d86cdf6e18645da7f21f1ea427a

my buddy actually gave me a 45* 3.5" section off of his duramax that i made a bunch of pie cuts to make it clear the firewall.
the exhaust housing i have doesnt have the v-band outlet cast into the housing, its a 5 bolt flange with a smaller v-band flange on that.
i just ended up having my buddy tig weld the 3.5" v-band onto the original one, turned out perfect.

its hard to see but this is the only picture i have of the vband flange on the turbo

this shows how tight it is to the firewall. had to hammer a little of it in too

its a little laggy now with the bigger wheel and sees full spool by 4k rpm. once it his, it throws your back in your seat all the way to redline! its awesome. since im running maft pro, i cant raise my rev limiter so it only goes to 6250rpm

with the housing you have, i could see 3500 or maybe 3200rpm full spool maybe? i think i have the stock 14, or 16cm housing

my friend is pretty busy with work at his shop so it may be a little before i get to take it to the dyno.

in the mean time, i purchased a AEM water methanol kit here on the forum for a steal! cant wait to put
it in and see how it does

Your HX is barely huffing, get it up around 20 PSI and the turbo will come alive. Also, is yours an 8 blade or 7 blade?

Here's the boost data:

RPM - PSI
2459 - 1
2807 - 2.13
2915 - 3.05
3108 - 4.02
3309 - 5.53
3442 - 6.45
3653 - 8.46
3773 - 10.56
4030 - 13.63
4444 - 16.89
6330 - 14.7

As you can see, this setup hits pretty hard from 3773 rpm on up. Not hard enough to throw the car sideways like a 20G though. It's quite street-able at this boost level.

Peak boost (16.89psi) occurred at 4444 rpm and tapered off to 14.7psi at redline. I've got the AFR's at 11.6 till ~8psi then slowly fattened it up to 10.8 at redline.

It runs good.

Good job Scott! :)

^That's a pretty fat power curve. Too bad there's no rpm data.

The Maft Pro has a function that exports a log file to .csv format. I then modify the .csv header information and import it in to Mega Log Viewer. From there the data can be viewed at its sampling rate. Frame by frame, basically. I can see a lot of data all at once. RPM, Boost, MAP, VF, Timing, etc...

Mega Log Viewer can also save the log in .png or .jpg format for easy viewing/comparison. It will also display multiple logs at once just like dyno software does. If you browse through my build thread you'll see some of my logs posted up. It's pretty schnazzy!

I haven't played with the AEM Software yet; but, I'm sure there's got to be similar functions. I'll be able to tell you more when I get my AEM installed. That'll be a while though. ;)

sheedy, did you ever dyno this thing?

No dyno yet :(
I'm going to call my buddy later today and see if he has time for a quick pull on his dyno yet
