never got full spool unfortunately before my turbo went, so i'll never know with the stock hx35 wheel.
i did get 10lbs around 3200 ish though if that helps you any. its a faster spooling turbo than i thought it was going to be, thats for sure.

new turbo should be back from Driftmotion Wednesday with the new 62mm billet compressor wheel. this should make some good power and not be
a lag monster!

To give you guys a comparison I make 10psi at 4357rpm. 18psi at 4807rpm. Verified by MAP ECU log. I have a Garrett 60 trim w/.70 hotside. I wish I had an HX35.

Interested to see how this does, get it dyno'd ASAP. My HX is waiting for one of these if all turns out for yours.

Update?

Did Aaron rebuild your turbo when you purchased the 62mm billet wheel upgrade?

Yep, turbo is working great and pulls hard at 15 lbs! That is if I could keep the intercooler lines from popping off haha

I ordered some t bolt clamps so I can keep them together then it'll get dynod

I'll have to see what full spool actually is when I get the new t bolt clamps

The housing was machined out for the bigger wheel and gas a 3.5" v band downpipe. The turbo itself is 3" exhaust

The stock wheel isn't that much quicker as far as spooling. It was 10 lbs by around 3k rpm I believe(never got full spool before the turbo went). With the 62mm I get 10 lbs by 3200ish and full spool by 4000 (17lbs)
Really comes on hard all the way to redline now, I'm very impressed!

I was told that the 62mm wheel is rated and 600hp and the 67 is rated for around 750 and might be a little big for the hx35 unless you want to make a lot of power. Either way, it only takes a couple weeks to get your turbo back.

Very fast turn around time. I Highly recommend sending it to Aaron @ driftmotion. They do great work!

Rice? No its Corn (E85)
In the southeastern states the diesels are common and usually not stock so I'm going to investigate where they send there turbos for hybrid mods and etc...
So hx35w stock they have 56mm or 52mm for California? And is the non waste gated hx35 still divided?

I wonder how hard you'd have to push the HX35 with the 62mm wheel in order to get 600 crank hp. There's people with DSM's that make 500+ on 7 blade HX35s at like 30 PSI.

Which downpipe did you go with? I know the hx35 has an odd outlet size and my 3" v-band clamp just slides over it. Did you get the outlet machined off then a new 3.5" v-band welded on? I'd measure my DM downpipe but they didn't ship it to me..

Got any links?
