Update!

15th sep 2010

Sent the car away for paint for a few weeks ago. It's being repainted because of paint-dust and various flaws on last paintjob, so getting it almost for free this time. There was also some rust on doors and front, so this is all fixed as well. The one antenna hole and engine warmer hole is shaved.

Some photos taken by the guy working on it..

Worked a lot on the car this weekend. Might look easy and quick on the photos, but I've put in a lot of work. All wires extended and connected properly. I've completed the one side in engine bay, and just begun on the other side. I've painted some parts and put on the radiator as well as fan controller. Still need to mount line-lock and boost controller.

Just started. AC condenser and pipes removed.
237.jpg

Almost finished. Radiator mounted, various painted. AC pump and brackets removed.
238.jpg

Left wheel arch done. Ignitor, resistor and relay moved and mounted. All wires done.
239.jpg

Did the igniter ground mod while I was at it.
240.jpg

110% finished with one side.(ignore the amplifier wire on battery). All holes will be filled and bay will be painted. Before pic: http://mitoforum.org/priv/supra/photoshoot-8.jpg

Fan controller mounted and almost done connecting up.

Just started on new side.

Correct me if I'm wrong but i didn't see you put a metal HG on. Not a good idea seeing you bought a boost controller! LOL I blew a brand new stock HG with 13psi they aren't worth putting on.

Thanks :) It's a rebuilt stock turbo.

The color is stock, taken from datatag in engine bay. If you want the code I can check it till next time!

Yes, I've put a stock HG on. The boost controller is actually to adjust down the pressure as I'm hitting fuel cut. There are a few guys running 350rwhp on stock HG. So with machined top and ARP studs I'm not worried about it. However if it goes BHG then I'll do a MHG, but it is a lot more work as the block needs to be pulled to be machined, so that's why I haven't gone MHG yet.

Thanks :) I live in Drøbak, 30 min south of Oslo.

Nope, haven't approved it yet. The car hasn't seen the road that much really, and now it's put in for storage. So sometime during the spring-summer I'll definitely get it approved. Is yours approved?

Do you have a user at ts-ogn?

Im at ts-ogn, but after the redo of the forum it is almost dead there... But i think i have/had a post under Projects.. But i think it was lost in the redo..
Mine is not approved and i dont think i will go for it:p My turbo is game over, have like 1cm wandering from side-to-side and up-down.
Im just going to go with a 61T from ebay, and make a track car out of it.

I spoke to Toy-parts about registration as a turbo, and then he wanted 5k for the job.. but befor i could get it done he quit is company.

Do you use the stock diff housing?

When did ts-ogn get redone? Must be before my time, been there aprox 1.5 years. I recommend having a quick look at least.. I get stoked everytime a new MK3 arrives at the forum.. there are so few of them, always exciting to be able to read and comment on norwegian builds.

Yeah toyparts are hopeless, I've been in touch with them a few times, they say that they haven't shut down and would still get the paper work, but then suddenly I never get any reply back, so I've given up on them. However there are a few that have done it through Toyota, so there is hope. I'll be asking the guys that have done it through them, and do that approach my self.

Are you sure you don't want to approve it? Doesn't take that much. The chance of being able to test it out on the road, or just take it for a spin sometime is worth a lot in my mind.

Yep, I'm using stock NA diff housing. I have however bought a LSD diff from the forums here, will be installing sometime this winter. If you are interested, I've got a complete CT26 with not that much shaft play, and I've also got an almost complete 89' part-out car(was going to use as a track car, but two MK3's is just too much of an expense).

I think im mixing it with another toyota forum ...
I will try to update my project tread on ts-ogn, and maby make a new here aswell.

I hade some issues with the car not making any boost, thats why i im going for a new turbo... After testing almost everything else.

All pipes from pressure pipes was tested, and no leaks. WG testat and no leaks.
But it could not be a leak, if it was it had to be a major one. There was 0 boost :p

So now, after i have replaced the Intercooler+pipes, and exhaust+dp, its time to replace the turbo.

Pictures taken today ... :)

Dark picture at night time, it's basically a renovated shed in the country side, no neighbours or anyone to disturb.

There are not many MK3's in Norway, but some how 3 of them have gathered here. Furthest in is a friends, then mine to the right and closest is a 92' I'm fixing for a guy.
verksted-2.jpg

My MKIII, under progress. Spare 7M-GTE and R154 standing by.
verksted-3.jpg

Part shelf at the moment, going to expand, probably got twice the amount of what's in this picture.

Quicky of engine bay.
