Still struggling with getting it started (power wire issues). But it got it's 1st bath in Texas today... I might find some time to mess with it later and try to get it started/drive-able. You can see that the suspension has now settled a bit...

The pads scrape the paint off of the rotor surfaces. No ill effct on the pads. Since I've been rolling it and out of the garage, using the brakes, alot of it has scraped off of those areas already. Will be much cleaner once I get to drive it and hit the brakes a few times.

This is what the wife's Supra/calipers look like once the paint scrapes off. Hers is a softer shade of blue, but you get the idea. We're gonna go for the twin-Supra look ;-)

Had to remove and go through the wiringto see if I could find the issues that've been keeping the car from running. Found a few suspicious things, but nothing too obvious. I'll install tomorrow and hope that problems are all resolved now. If not, I have to do the same with the replacement dash and body harness I received this week.

TIP: GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE HARNESS RIGHT THE 1ST TIME, BEFORE PUTTING IT BACK ON.

I removed all of the unecessary VSVs, hydro-fan, and other unused connectors and associated wiring. Traced and labeled all remaining connectors

Series below =
I took over the dining room table and set up a wiring station (notice laptop and separate screen, making looking at wiring diagrams and research easier.

Almost finished product. Will re-wrap with fancy colored conduit today...

Almost final product... took a little longer 'cause I integrated the PPS and ABS wiring that I hadn't before.... You can probably now notice the blue/black color theme coming together (like calipers)

Looks great Elvis. I wish I could have found a black one, but white will do. Send me those hydro fan pieces of the harness, I need them for my MKIV harness :D

Haven't said it much, but a REALLY BIG THANKS to all of your support and encouragement so far!!

Started last weekend, but a preview of what I'll be finishing up today, along with the reinstallation of the engine harness and intake manifold.

I am not sure if I will repaint the door panels yet, since they are already show grey. But at the very least, replacing the 16+ year old carpeting. Instead of breaking the little tabs at the door locks and messing with stuff later, I purposely left the doorpanels off and am fixing/replacing everything behind 'em... Including the felt-covered window guide/adjustment things.

That dash looks splotchy or is that the camera? Are you going to do another coat? I have toyed with the idea of changing interior color. What did you do about the seat belts and seat belt guides? Seems they would be very difficult to paint with the belt running through them. Looking good though.....

Yeah, I ran out of dye and had to go back and retouch it up. Looks perfect now. Still waiting 'til it's running fine, before I install the dash.

Can't wait to see it in person. Lil over a month to go:icon_bigg
I have to really bust @$$ and finish this up. It will have the quietest interior of any of the other MKIIIs ;-)

Been sick :barf: and just trying to do what I can, here and there. I have most of the harness routed back through and just need to connect the grounds, starter, and a couple more connections. Still have to fasten the manifold and reinstall the upper waterneck pipe. So, probably 60-90 minutes to get to all of that (might try tomorrow night, if I'm feeling better).

I was trying to get the door panels back on by the end of this last weekend, but there are a couple of clips I still need to replace and the passenger door window switch seemed to have a short (plugged it in ands the connector/wiring got HOT). So waiting on a replacement switch now.

I did finish putting the door panels together and Dynamating the inside metal of the doors. Only about 30 minutes of work to get the panels back on properly. The only thing left to Dynamat is the targa, which I'll do when I do the leak fix at some point. If you look closely at the last pic below, you can almost see where I replaced the light inside the ignition switch bezel/ring to a blue LED.

Being sick sux... 4 days to do 60 minutes worth of work. Hoping to get enough done, where I can try to start it and then go into de-bugging mode.

Come on by... I'll put ya to work ;-)

I should also be getting all of my new weatherstripping this week, which will definitely supplement the noise-reduction abilities of the Dynamat.
