Satan I - 87T went 1JZ, then got the 90T and dropped the 1J into it.
Satan II - 1JZ to 2JZ (singled and found water in the oil), then back to 7M and 2JZ again.

Satan III - Just gonna do it all from the git-go.

Again, that's the blue I'm goin' with for now. This is more the shade/hue I'd like, but did not find anything local... If anyone knows where I can get it in spray, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I have to order a paint-on kit from somewhere.

You've got too many projects going on bro.:biglaugh:

Order the G2 paint off of EBAY. It is by far the best paint you can buy for brake parts.
We need to get together sometime soon.

Dynamated using 1.5 boxes so far, so I think it's probably gonna end up at 40-50 lbs. I still have to get to the insides of the doors and targa. I'm actually not reinstalling the spare, so I believe the overall weight removed/gained is about the same.

Black carpet is the 1st thing I did with the other 2 MKIIIs as well... about $120 shipped from alot of different places. I think I got this one off of Ebay, from one of the busnisses I was already looking at. Might have saved $20 from their retail price. Also vacuumed out ~16 years worth of dust, sunflower seeds, trinkets, and even found 1 quarter and 2 dimes... ;-)

I let it sit overnight so that it kinda settles a bit. Gonne make sure things fit right today, and then cut the holes fro the seatsbolts, air vents, and seatbelts, etc.

How long did it take you to pull the dash?
It's something I need to do soon for the heater core replacement, and
I just want to make sure I can pull it and replace it all in one day.

Pulling the dash is easy. Start with removing the glove compartment and gauge cluster. That shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes. Once that's done, just start unscrewing and unbolting the dash. You'll need a socket wrench with a 6" extension to get to a couple of the bolts, and a Phillips head screwdriver to remove a couple of the screws. You should have the dash out within an hour or so. I think you'll have to remove the center console as well (5-10 minutes). I just installed my dash in an already stripped 87.

...Yeah, I saw a write up on it once. I can get one out in about 30-45 minutes. Luckily, the previous owner had already started on this one. I will wait 'til I have the engine running, before I reinstall the dash tho.

It's definitely something you can push/pull in an afternoon. PM and let me know when you plan to get started. I can take a few pics while everything's removed, so that you can see the connection/bolt points.

Pulled the engine back out this AM and put the turb on... what a PITA. I thought it was gonna be straightforward/easier.

All good tho. Taking a break and gonna get some fittings that do not come with the BL oil feed/return kit.

Been there done that, Thunderstorm blew my 10x20 Northern tool canopy across the street and the tarp ripped up. Now saving for an aluminum carport install. At least my insurance will cover that if it gets damaged. Whether is crazy down here.

Been awhile since the last update... today's progress.

Engine/tranny in and "bolted up." I will be replacing the exhaust manifold this week to another that fits better (with the wastegate, etc).

Scratches from years of abuse... At the very least, some of the scratches appear minimized when filled with paint.

Here's some info on some Dynamat Extreme/Xtreme (been asked a few times about it)...

The kit #14055 goes for over $250 at Crutchfield and CarToys, but Amazon has it for ~$121 Shipped (free shipping on orders over $25). Thing is, sometimes you're buying from a seller (not Amazon) and you could end up paying taxes AND shipping.

I went the easier route and ordered 4 kits off of Ebay for a total of $471 ($117.75 each)... That's the way to go (for both the MKIII and the MKIV).

Seller is "the-soundsgreat"

This weekend's progress...

Replaced A/C cap with 7M (lots of grinding to do on the PS Pump bracket), PS pump/cooler lines connected, heater hose to VSV (using Aristo twins water pipe), couple of other odds & ends... rest pictured below.

Alternator wiring done (using a 5-wire connector from Aristo)... Leftover black and yellow wires will be removed, once I am complete.
alt_plug.jpg

Using the new manifold I was waiting on and the Drewgo midpipe... plenty of room between it and the heater hose/pipe to the VSV.
