Ok guys, it looks like I'll be going to SAR Sept. 14th. If anything changes I'll let you know.
Miguel, there's going to be quite a few fast Hondas and Evo's out there. We're talking about 10sec street cars. There gonna be picking on me.

Car is back on the road as of yesterday morning and feels great. There is an exhaust leak that developed towards the evening. I wasn't too surprised since I wasn't able to torque all of the exhaust studs to the 30lbs cuz I could feel them begin to give. I was hoping that the ones that did tighten up would be enough but I guess not. The exhaust leak is only noticeable when I accelerate hard. I'm gonna have to learn how to helicoil in order to fix it. Have any of you done the helicoil to your car that can go e me some pointers? I'll post up some pics of the finished product soon :icon_bigg

Yeah its not to hard. I got the kit from Driftmotion which makes everything easier. Plus the kit goes to bigger studs. You can get a set from Autozone but i think the kit from DM is pretty slick. Just keep it straight and use a little WD40 or cutting oil. I drilled the holes out with the mani on to help as a guide to keep the holes straight. Just take it slow.

Yeah buying a new gasket wouldn't hurt. I actually took mine off due it being practically new. I tok mine off and on a few times while doing this process to clean the shavings out before moving to the next stud. If you're good with using a tap and having it go in straight just pull the mani and do them all. After the second one i did i was pretty comfortable.

Good news is it looks like there's a cold front coming at the end of this week. Bad news is that there's a 40% chance of rain forecasted Friday. If it rains, I'm not going to SAR. If that's the case then I'll go on the 22nd for Midnight Madness.

I need to bleed my brakes really good. I just changed my master cylinder not long ago and did a piss poor job of bleeding them solo. And yes, I did bench bleed the MC. I have to get that done at least by tomorrow before I put the car back on the road. I also have to go to the Municipal Court and see the city prosecuter about dismissing my "fix it" ticket tomorrow. I'll be busy tomorrow fo sho!

Alright guys, I just looked at the forecast for Friday the 14th. 50% chance of rain. Even if it doesn't rain it's going to be humid as hell. Not good for drag racing. I'm going to go ahead and call off the 14th and reschedule for another day. So far it looks to be Sept. 22nd for Midnight Madness, but not 100% sure. I'll let you guys know.

In the meantime I'm going to re-install the aeromotive AFPR and play with it in conjunction with the Lex AFM to see if I can get a little more boost out of it. Of course I'll be monitoring the AFR to make sure I'm still on the safe side of things. It kind of bugs me that I'm getting fuel cut at 17psi when it's said you can run 20+ with the Lex AFM, 550cc's, Walbro, and AFPR. I'm still not ready to fool with the MAP ECU even though that would rid of my fuel cut issue.

I still think you're hitting fuel cut due to the stock ECU. Bigger injectors, more air, bigger turbo, being controlled by an ECU thinking you still have 440ccyour injectors.....

I guess I'll have to start playing with the MAP ECU if I want more boost.

I going to put the aeromotive afpr back on and give it just enough pressure to make the stock ECU pull a little fuel at idle & cruise. Then I'll up the boost very little at a time to see if it'll raise thefuel cut. I'll see if that works.
