I really don't think he knows much about turbo cars period. According to my wife he's more about flash than fast. Most of his future upgrades don't have anything to do with the engine. Neon lights, instrument gauge glow lights, body kit and stuff like that is what he's interested in. Oh, and he want's that stance look. I have nothing nice to say about stance just it's not my cup of tea.

BTW, there a midnight madness even going on at San Antonio Raceway this Saturday night. Gates open at 8pm and runs to 2am. I might go just to spectate, not race. It's going to be cold as hell out there.

Drag Radials came in today. Gotta get them mounted. It looks like I might make a pass Saturday night. Just the current set up I have on 10psi. I'll need to bring tools just incase I snap a driveshaft, or half shaft.

Ewww. Oil and grime underneath nails? Sounds dirty.

I hope I don't break anything tomorrow. I don't think I have enough power to do it. I just want a baseline before tweaking. I'll be sure sure to get vid of the run. It's going to be an in car vid though. Unless I get my friend to record me.

I wish I could go with you. Good luck out there, 12.5?

I wish. I was hoping to at least break into the 13's. The only thing I manage to break was the clutch. I burnt it out. It wasn't holding for shit! It slipped in every gear. I made two passes tonight. Here's the breakdown:

Pass 1: Clutch slipped from the get go. Peddled it all the way down.

60ft 2.43
330ft 6.51
1/8ET 9.68
1/8mph 77
1000ET 12.41
1/4ET 14.68
1/4mph 101

Pass 2: Same clutch not holding issue. I noticed the left wheel didn't want to spin anymore. Note the burn out. I must have messed up something in the diff. I gave up after second gear and coasted the rest of the way.

60ft 2.37
330ft 6.74
1/8ET 11.07
1/8mph 52
1000ET 15.36
1/4ET 19.37
1/4mph 54

Yeah, I babied her home. If I stepped on the gas too much the clutch would slip, so I took it real easy on the way home. Plans now are to get a new clutch disc and use this stock pressure plate David had given me a while back. I'll drop the tranny soon and see what exactly happened. My guess is that I ran the stock disc down to the ground. I'm just gonna put her back on the road and enjoy driving it like I was doing before. I'll lay off the dragstrip until I can afford to pick up a performance clutch kit.

I know I know. I'm gonna take the cheap way out right now and go stocker just to get it back on the road. She's fine with that. She did ask how much a good clutch set that I wanted was going to cost. I told her around $600, and she didn't look too approving of it. I'll just wait until the end of June when I get paid 3 times that month to get it. So mid July it should be in. Unless I manage to put in a little overtime at work before then.

I was going to drop the tranny yesterday so I can see what kind of damage I did. I then remembered what happened last time and decided to wait, or call my friend to see if his lift if available. Last time as I was lowering the transmission the damn thing rolled off the jack and landed on my arm. It had me pinned to the ground, and with limited space there wasn't much I could do. I had to whodini my way from underneath it under my car. I'll just wait until I can get some help, or if I can do this on a lift with a transmission jack. Safer that way.

You figure out why one wheel spun during your burn out. Because if you need a rear diff you need to get Mikes asapbefore he gets rid of his while he's moving.

You found more Supra guys? Unfortunately I won't be coming. I think this week I'm going to be super nice and my wife and try to butter her up so I can get an upgraded clutch set. I don't think it's going to work, but it's worth a try. Any luck and I might get a six puck clutch disc outta her.
