Well I got shit cleaned up and started to tear it down


I wounder what lies under that head ?

well turns out 585 is just tad to much for the stock rings with over 180 plus k on them

they simply just deseated them self's since there is no abnormale ware on the cyc bores
from crush ring land or cracked ring


I did notice I going to have to send off my header and down pipe toi be coated to cut down on the heat since the header wrap is not cutting it (shit glows cherry)

Stay tuned I got some pretty neat stuff that is going to make this beast into a monster

try to find a place that will lighten my 6m crank since I am ditching the 7m crank shaft

I wana spin this motor so I am going to replace my hot side with a bigger 81 instead of the 68 I have now

well it made power past 7000 last time but I cut it to 6600 since the bottom end was stock


but with the new hot side I plan on getting I can see 7500 befor it drop's I think time will tell

Unfortunate. It seems like theres bad luck all over your motor. Atleast you discovering it now rather than catastrophically after the work has been done

well got some stuff done and got some nice close up's of the crack as well so on tues day off to the muchine shop she goes

now the crack grrrrr

well head ready just dropped it off at buddies place to be welded and to pull the seat out so it can be fixed
i might be porting it some more and ccing the head as well even thou it has been done all ready

this stuff I just got in the mail, the sun shad I had for ait but still both of them are rad and are well made

Why would you spend a single cent/minute reworking a suspect head?

Done a hardness test on it yet?

reason being is i just do have the money right now (brokestudent) fixing is cheaper then re cutting a hole new head


if i have issue i can all ways swap the head off later on

plus the place that is fixing it will tell me if it is pile of shit before they work on it
