You don't have permission to access /F-Body_Gathering/NBM_02_Camaro_SS_twin_turbo_c.jpg on this server.

I've seen this done on a Matrix.. or maybe it was an Echo. No room up front for all the bits, so they had to use this kind of a system. When I spoke with the owner about it's performance, he said that while it was obviously not an ideal configuration, it was still a crapload better than stock.

This would not be a good idea for a Supra. We have the room to spare up front, so use it.

This won't change your under hood temps by much, if at all. Remember, your turbo doesn't create much heat, that's taken care of by the exhaust. The air compressed by your turbo is maybe 100 degrees pre-intercooler, your exhaust is ten times that.

I test drove a 928S4 back in 1990. Then I bought a Supra.

(Was a great car but the Supra was less than 1/2 the price and was one hell of a lot of car for the money compared to it...)

Yeah, the Supra was a much better car at the time... About the same performance, but WAY cheaper...

The front engine porsche's are everywhere around here, and they're slow as crap, even the turbo ones...

GTFO, the 16v 928 motors are far more reliable than a 7m. And, my 928 will out brake and out handle all 5 of the Mk3s I've owned.

the car in the vid makes just over 600rwhp.

The 85+ 32v interface motors are less reliable. Bust a timing belt and bye-bye valves - which are very expensive.

There are no liners..

BTW, my 928 has 130k miles and doesn't use a drop of oil or coolant - that's something I can't say about any Supra I've owned. kthx

Decisions, decisions..:D

The car was so far ahead of it's time.
Actually, Clarson's review is pretty entertaining:

Assuming you were able to get the "perfect" 73% increase, a stock GE (with all it specs intact) should theoretically bump up to 342.54HP & 349.46Ft-lbs @7Psi. That still leaves the GE with about 5psi more usable boost.

I sent them a message last night, got a call at 8am, and he left me a long ass voice message, advising getting bigger injectors and such, along with this and (dealer locations):

They seem pretty cool, if I get this night job, I'm definitely gonna save up for one of these!

The main issue I see on our cars is plumbing the charge pipe back up to the engine...

About the only room for it is right beside the exhaust...not good.

I give up, waste your money on a lag monster set up.

Yes, yes, I get it, I could use that same amount and get a 2J block and so on and so forth... point is, I'd like to see what the hp/tq gains would be versus a "conventional" NA-T setup and I'd be a willing guinea pig for such an endeavor (there's always a first to try everything). That said, I don't have the money yet, and won't for a bit. Maybe you can talk me out of it by then!:biglaugh:
